Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

“Magical”

We did this independently rather than from the tourist bus and it!s only drawback is that it is on a very very steep hill - no problem if you're fit but there's a long walk from the metro and even though the tourist bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill it's a challenge. Having said that it's worth every step, the recommended three hours just flies by - try to get there early it soon gets busy around the wonderful architecture and some of the point is lost. The park itself has wonderful walks, good buskers and fabulous views over Barcelona.
This will definately be on our list for our -hopeful- return visit

“Beautiful”
Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

A beautiful park, filled with Gaudi's works. It is a very beautiful place even if you are not interested in Gaudi. You can just walk around, have a picnic or enjoy a magnificant view of Barcelona. The only down side is that all parts of the park wich are not covered in grass are dusty but it seems to be the same with all parks around Barcelona.

“Interesting park”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Park Guell is another Gaudi masterpiece. It is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Barcelona more than a couple of days. There are beautiful flowers and architecture throughout and also lively performers. The downside is there are not any shady grass patches to sit and relax. You need to look for a bench if you want to sit and relax.
