Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

After Famila Sagrada, and touring around on the bus, this open, bright and quirky park was so completely different and refreshing. Perhaps because I had no idea what to expect. It was sunny so strolling and sitting to soak in the beautiful shapes, colours and views was exraordinary!

Line 3 metro and you need the station called Lesseps, it's a new station and well signposted..from the station just walk up the main street, there are quiet a lot of shops and some supermarkets so can easily pick up a nice pick nick for the parc as very touristy in the parc, as your walking along it about twenty minutes at a steady pace, it is a steep walk upto the entrance but one of the streets has an escalator and always found this the best way to get up the hill

Place: This park designed by Gaudi has his standard trademark - blending with nature - with curves and waveforms in the structures.
Wear a good walking shoe cos you will need it to cover the numerous steps, routes and pathways with some dirt tracks. We encountered some repairs and construction works going on during our visit.

It's one of my favorite places in Barcelona so far and it's a good place to go for a walk and relax a bit from the traffic jams and the "la movida" from the city centre. Here you can enjoy a "small city" created by Gaudi and enjoy some of his works.

Visited a couple of times and am always impressed. The scale and beauty of this park/sculpture are fantastic. A leisurely stroll around the park taking photos and stopping for drinks is the best approach. It does get very busy though, and is a long walk from the Metro.
