Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

“Well worth the climb”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

I cant even describe this place it was full of architecture in many different forms and there was plenty to see. it was busy but still felt relaxed. The only down side was the climb if you are not able bodied as a wheelchair and pushchairs are difficult to get up the very steep hill and around the paths. If you do go here dont forget your camera or you will regret it.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Tons of people but thats expected as the park is free, and its beautiful! The scenery is just magnificent, lots of greenery and it has a beautiful view of Barcelona. The mosaic tiles and colors are so unique and beautiful, it really creates a magical atmosphere.

Best way to access the park is taking the metro to Vallcarca and entering from the back. Getting to Park Guell can be quite hilly, but by following the signs from the Vallcarca metro there are escalators going up to the park. You still have to walk a bit, but it really helps a lot!

“Lovely park”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Worth the climb but go early to avoid the crowds. Beautiful park on the outskirts of Barcelona. Fun walking through some of the the small towns approaching the park...genuine Spanish feel without the tourists.

“Glorious”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Take the metro and take in the wonderful mirador overlooking a grand part of Barcelona, before walking down the steps and into the park, past the house where Gaudi lived for a while. A wonderworld of twisted and almost living stone, wild imagination and colourful mosaics.

“Another Gaudi masterpiece”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

It would be a great park without all of the artwork. Great view, beautiful grounds. Skip the Gaudi house
