Quite a few of the old cathedrals of Europe are amazing once you get inside, with that certain "holy" atmosphere. The Basilica didn't really convey the same spiritual feeling, but is beautiful in other ways. On the outside, however, it is certainly the most interesting of them all - each side has it's own distinct style, you really need to walk a full circle around it to see it all. Important: buy tickets in advance, or you'll have to stand in two lines: one for the tickets and one for entrance.
