You will not believe the size of this church which has been under construction for over a hundred years. You will marvel at the many statues build into the walls etc. The church is now being worked on with modern technology and hopefully will be finished soon. It is a truly wonderful site to see.

We had a last minute visit to Barcelona in October and really wanted the opportunity to see this landmark. Cruise ships still visit in October and many sites indicated we wouldn't be able to get tickets to tour. In the week leading up to our visit, there were no available tickets, but we kept looking at the online site. The day before, there were openings at several times and we were able to purchase tickets. We went online and used tiqets, the first site that popped up when we put in Sagrada Familia. Another person on our tour said she purchased her tickets in January! I also observed people purchasing tickets in person from the travel agency diagonally across from the back of the church where we started our online tour. We had a beautiful day and although it was busy, it wasn't horrendously crowded. Read up on this Gaudi masterpiece - there is so much to take in, which makes sense since they've been building it for 100 years.

You don't need to be religious to appreciate this site, and it's not just another European church. Memorable and fantastic in the true sense of the words.

Our tour group only walked around the outside of the Sagrada Familia, along with many, many other tourist. The building is impressive and to the story of it's still ongoing construction is interesting, but not one of my favorite Gaudi buildings.

The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia should be at the top of your to-do list in Barcelona! I'd heard so many reports from travellers saying it would take your breath away and it truly did. The inside of the Basilica is stunning, like nothing you've ever seen before. I pre-booked my ticket online and chose the more expensive ticket which included a tour of the Passion tower. Apparently this tower gives you 360 degree views of the city. When we arrived at the Basilica we were informed due to the heavy rain the night previous the towers would be closed and I should expect to see a 7 euro refund for the ticket - I have yet to receive this. Nevertheless just walking around the Basilica and taking in the surroundings was enough. Even if you are not religious the architecture and design of the Basilica is beautiful. Every detail of every square inch has been carefully designed. Take a visit to this beautiful Basilica, you will NOT be disappointed!

We arrived to be told that we HAD TO purchase tickets on line unless we wanted an enhanced ticket. No signs, no help, and dozens of bewildered visitors standing out front desperately trying to book tickets on their phones. The lack of a ticket booth that takes cash ruined the entire experience for us and had us fuming during the visit. Yes, the building is amazing but their customer service is non-existent.

We have travelled the world and have never experienced such poor admission and ticketing practices. Make it clear on your website and at the door.

My wife and I with both of our parents toured this balisica in late October 2018.

You come in on the east side of the building, the line wasn't too long but try and get your tickets early online, we did and we got the elevator to the spire ticket which has a specific time so make sure if you do get it that you're there on time.

We got the audio guide which explains a lot about Gaudi which is great, how he started to design the building and 100 years later it's still under construction, but the building really holds true to Gaudis style and looks amazing. The intricate designs, the beautiful stained glass windows everywhere, the facades and exterior building design it looks strange but is absolutely beautiful.

We had gotten tickets to take an elevator to the top of the basilica but we were unable to go up as the day we were there it was pouring rain and it was closed due to safety reasons.

Absolutely fantastic tour, beautiful architecture, it's absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend that if you do one thing in Barcelona that this is it.

Booked on-line for a timed entry and tour of the nativity tower. So pleased we did as we missed the queues - absolutely fantastic and magical!

The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia will simply take your breath away. We walked for 45 minutes from our hotel & it was well worth it. It's worth buying tickets in advance to go inside though as the queue was very long. We got there early & the whole area was packed.
Stunning architecture.

Walking from La Rambla towards la Sagrada you get a glimps of the church from time to time. And everytime it gets more impressive. Walking down the Carrer de Provenca all of a sudden it's right in front of you in all its beauty. That picture was very strong. La Sagrade looks so out of space. Just form the outside you can look at it and see all new details every minute. We did not visit the inside because the tickets were sold out..

you simply cannot go to Barcelona and not see this wonderful piece of art that Gaudi imagined.
if you want to go in the tower you must go to nativity tower because the passio. towers and not yet finnished and also the nativity towers where finished during Gaudi life so they are more representative
