Ok it has heart and noise and action but is this the real Barcelona? For us we saw so much more away from Las Ramblas and felt we had found the real town - wonder way and get better food, real choice and don't feel ripped off.

Las Ramblas was a very busy part of town. There were lots of street acts to stop & watch & thousands of tourists. Prime area for pickpockets & scammers - but i didn't see any whilst i was there.
So many fabulous shops & restaurants to see & visit on the way. I particularly liked the little streets that came off Las Ramblas & wound their way around the buildings & back to Las Ramblas again. A lovely walk down to the harbour. Very busy so just be cautious.

Beautiful street from down the harbor up through the center of Barcelona. Great use of the middle area of the street with bar and restaurant seating. Don't for forget to visit the little side streets and the wonderful Mercat de la Boqueria. The traffic is a bit annoying.

This road is basically the line between the old and new complete Barcelona. Have a lots of restaurants on this street. But, NEVER, NEVER EAT ON THIS STREET! Can considered as a real scam if you step in any restaurant. The food is not fresh and very expensive as well!

However, there are lots of artistics who stan here with cosplaying stuffs, and this is what I like the most about this street.

It is convenient to the port and in walking distance to a lot of things, but very touristy and busy. Most of the restaurants on and near it are tourist oriented, and not that good in my opinion. Lots of places selling cheap souvenirs from China.

Amazing and vibrant pedestrian street, Las Ramblas is the heart of Barcelona.
Walking on Las Ramblas and enjoying its special atmosphere is a must, when you are in Barcelona.

The walking arcade has loads of stores and restaurants. It runs from city center to the port. Lots of photo opportunities.

This tree lined boulevard is a little under a mile, full of shops, side walk cafes, souvenir kiosks and pickpockets.

The highlight for us was La Boqueria, the huge market full of seafood, vegetables, candy and fruits. Many of the vendors offer lunch. It’s a busy, bustling place, very fun to wander.

We walked to where Las Ramblas ends at the wharf and took a leisurely cruise around the bay. I wouldn’t recommend it because there isn’t much to see, it’s cold now and they play the most horrendous and loud music.

It seems if you are in Barcelona, you have to take this stroll.
