We loved it here.Lot's of hidden alleys to explore with tapas bars for refreshments. Also nice and cool when the weather is at its hottest.

Take notice of the street art on the stop signs and shops (especially during the night) or places that are hidden in small alleys, like the placa where the dictator franco used to execute his opponents, you can actually see the gun shots in the wall, or the shrine of saint eulalia which is a small statue on top of a wall in also another small alley way.

Artwork, shops, cafe's just breath taking~There is so much to see.
I recommend the Red/Green/blue Bus Tour, you can get on & off as much as you like to see the city in one day~Definitely worth it!

The area is good for a stroll and the cathedral in the Gothic Quarter is free to enter. It is easily walking distance from the main street (Passeig de Gracia) and the beach is on the other side. It is worth checking out.

My husband and I, loved the time we spent in Barri Gothic.
We didn't go by our map, we got lost, walked extra meters, sat on the stairs of old buildings and just gazed at the old houses, ate amazing food at small but very old places like 'Santa Clara'. I had the best hot chocolate ever, and a great great Tiramisu.
Thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there.
