Think this was more a mexican food place but very good nonetheless. We went early evening on a Friday for food, and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere about the place. The outside looked like it was probably a fancy food chain-type bar/restaurant but it didn't feel as much inside. There was mixed clientele, with couples and groups chilling for drinks at the lounging area, to groups and families eating at the tables. Very relaxed and can imagine it to be a fun place to grab a cocktail or two later in the evenings.

We had set menus for €15 which involved 3 plates of food and a drink. Very tasty, not as salty as tapas plates we had had elsewhere. The staff were friendly enough. Would recommend.

Princesa 23 was very near our hotel, so we ended up there twice. It's quite an average place that caters to tourists/Americans. The food was very middle-of-the-road: not exciting. The couches that line the walls are filled with couples who should probably get a room. Most of the clientele is American or tourists.

Still, if you're looking for a decent sandwich (my son got the Princesa club, which he liked a lot) or some decent tapas (we liked the humus/guacamole tray) it's a decent enough place. For an American tourist who is a little nervous about going to one of the more local places, you will feel comfortable ordering here and the food is decent. Prices are okay. Service fair.

This place was right next to the apartment we were staying at. We decided to give it a try one night during a soccer game. They had amazing specials (1 euro beer) and the food was fantastic! We tried the tomato bread, a vegetarian lasagna, a spanish omelet, patatas bravas, and a few other things. Everything was great. We were in Barcelona for 1 week and this is the ONLY place we tried twice. We just couldn't resist! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Noisy and dark, so not your typical tapas place. It's fine to have some beers and just lounge a bit to very loud (not lounge) music. Food is ok, drinks are ok, so just in general: no worries ok joint.

Very nice bar. Very rude owners - we couldn't order tapas for one person only! As we have just finshed burgers at KIOSK I didn't need another snack. But my wife did. Unless you don't expect anything but cava oraz sangria it is a place worth staying.
