Greate big apartments with good location, close to La Familia Segrada, supermarkets and many good restaurant.
We stayed in 2-bedroom + 2 bathroom, livingroom, kitchen and balcony, very nice and trendy, very clean, good beds and pillows. Reception open in daytime, close around 18:00.
No soundblock from hallway and elevator, little noice at times.
Reccomend for couples and friends on weekend trips.

We stayed two families in two apartments @ Vokels BCN Suites.
Nice, clean apartments with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a balcony. Really well equipped and stylish apartments. Ok, safe location with supermarket close by, but you have to take taxi or subway to get to good shopping and center of Barcelona.

Staff was really helpful and friendly.
Breakfast at small cafe close by with very nice staff and superb coffee. Very good.

We ordered two apartments with balcony, and got that confirmed. When arriving only one of them had balcony.

Also the interenet is really to slow, and did not work all the time. Staff tryed their best to help, but I think the routers or internet lines was bad.
On TripAdvisor they answered earlier that the router was replaced, but internet (on3rd and 4th floor) is still bad. Slow and unstable.

But, all in all: a really nice and good place to stay in Barcelona.

Room Tip: First floor has no balcony. 5th floor has largest balcony

Dear guest,

First of all we want to apologize the problem with the internet, it is true that we changed the routers in the past and in each floor with have new ones (not only one for all the building).

Thank you for your comment and all the details given (breakfast in the bar close by, friendly staff, ...).

Hope to welcoming you back again!

We were @ Eric Vokel's in juni '11 with 2 small kids (1 baby) and really loved it. After a cold, die-hard but lovely week in the Spanish Pyrenees this was pure luxury. I'd recommend this to peeps who travel with friends too - two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, even a washing & dishwashing machine... There's a balcony wich was great when our baby was sleeping, at a central but off-touristic BCN location... Living there for 4 days was an experience like we lived in BCN a bit. From our balcony, we saw the Barcelona inhabitants living their life and even playing the guitar one afternoon. It's not in the touristic and lively part of BCN, so if you're looking for hard core partying, maybe you should check out a different place. but still, it's so close to metro stations and other nice parts of the city that it doesn't matter at all. I agree though it was hard to find at first (by car).
For kids, the play garden next to Sagrada Familia is great (and nice for parents too - enjoying a coffee or beer in the sun thanks to the tourist terrace), and so are the play gardens for different ages at Av. Diagonal. All close to the apartments. all in all it was worth the money.

Room Tip: deluxe room is great for familiy with kids, 2 couples or 2/3/4 friends

This place is not easy to locate as the frontage is not obvious (especially at night) and it is off the main roads. Loading and unloading from car has to be quick as it is a single lane, one way street. That said, the location is great as it is near the open-top bus station and the sagarda familiar and metro. An easy walk from the shopping district as well.

The staff are very helpful as the electronic system of checking in is not always easy to navigate. Everything is ready in your room as requested. Any help or advise you need, if the staff is around, will always be rendered with a smile. We enjoyed our staff there and the advice and help we get during our stay.

The modest iron door shown on the google street view of this area does little to describe how awesome the rooms and staff have been. John was especially helpful.

Our only major issue is with faulty wifi service that disconnects after about 2 minutes. Ill be surprised and disappointed if this issue isn't resolved very soon. For now I have to toggle wifi on and off to reconnect constantly since the network appears to be miss configured... It is Not a problem with signal strength and seems to affect every wireless device I brought along.

The other concern was with back room attaches to an open space with ventilation but it smelled terrible making the inner window unpleasant to have open.

The lobby is ....well there really isn't a lobby. Almost all space is given to the apartments themselves. This is a welcome change from typical hotels. We were here for 2 weeks and we like to travel light so having an in room washer and dryer was a delightful and useful feature.

Across the street is a wonderful coffee shop and bar where the friendly locals have made us feel very welcome. It is a working neighbor hood with a flavor of authenticity not found in a more touristy location. Nearby landmarks and metro statins make this an easy location to find and to launch explorations of the city from.
