This place is lucky it has air con and is close to la rambla, the metro and the beach. The rooms are tiny and cramped, the bathrooms were gross and at night the neighborhood isn't a place I would want to be alone in. If you just want a place to sleep this is fine, but don't expect anything like a wombats or PLUS hostel.

2 minute walk to La Rambla, this hostel has a cool atmosphere. The hostel staff were friendly and there were lots of activities to do through the hostel, including walking tours, beach party, and pub crawl. Computers with internet were free to use and there was a cool rooftop area with couches where you can chill and have a drink.

The negatives of the hostel however, were that the rooms were extremely small... I had to stack my suitcase on top of the lockers because there was no room on the floor to put it. Also worth noting was that the hostel is in a really dodgy area - people will try and sell you drugs and harass you late at night.

Overall, a pretty good place to stay if you are on a budget but if you have the extra money to spend, it's probably worth staying somewhere a bit more spacious and in a safer area.

Ok so calling the area it is in 'The Bronx of Barcelona' may be an overstatement.... but if I had my time again I wouldn't stay in this area. It was kind of scary to walk through at night, graffiti everywhere and the smell of urine is almost unbearable. Dodgy guys standing every few meters trying to get you to buy beer off them. Ek.

The hostel itself wasn't too bad. The service was good. The bathroom situation kind of sucked though, there were about 4 rooms on our floor, there was 8 beds in our dorm so I am assuming it would be similar in the others, and there was only 1 bathroom per gender per floor. This bathroom had a sick area in the middle, a toilet room to the left and the shower in the right (in the same room as the sink). There were no locks on the main door so if you were having a shower you kind of had to be prepared to become a little bit more acquainted with your fellow travellers. Water pressure and temp was good though and there were hair dryers supplied which was good!

The hostel was clean and had a good elevator. There was a common room downstairs which was the only place I could get wifi, the wifi was free and reliable. The kitchen was VERY basic. The lockers were fantastic. Beds were comfortable.

Overall I didn't think the hostel was too bad! The breakfast was basic but it was there. They had this chocolate spread that tasted like chocolate frosting. A novelty at first but after a few days you kind of crave something of nutritional value.

The hostel is only a stone throw from a few supermarkets, Paral-lel metro station, some pharmacys and La Rambla.

This place isn't the quietest or the cleanest but the location makes it worth it and the downstairs lounge is really nice.

This place had good locker system and facilities were good enough too, rooms are a little cramped but aren't they all? Had a nice vibe too and was just slightly off La Rambla so was too hectic! Would stay again happily!

Good Location, Good Price, Good Staff
Sociable.
Bit cramped in rooms, and kitchen, dining, communal, but that seems to be the experience of others in hostels in Barcelona.

Good location. Close to La Ramblas and metro station is just down the street. Friendly and helpful receptionist throughout the stay. One of the best Paella I have ever had (recommended by the receptionist) is just 2 shops away from the hostel.
