“Not a 4 star as advertised but..”
Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

As previous reviews suggest, this hotel does not have amenities to be called /qualified for a 4 star hotel.

PROs: good food, friendly staff, clean room, quiet area.

CONs: Lack of facilities in room, (Mini bar, kettle etc ) Very isolated location, almost no restaurants within 10 min walking distance.

Overall satisfyingly good. City centre is few stops away by metro which is approximately 5 min walk from the hotel.
Recommended: YES.

I recently had the pleasure of a 3 day stay here prior to a 10 western med cruise, it was just perfect for my needs and would have no hesitation staying again for longer periods.

Not sure exactly when it was built but its modern architecture stands out from it's old surrounding buildings.

Good food, friendly staff, clean rooms.

For anyone requiring wheelchair access, this hotel has six to my knowledge, one on each floor which are also to a high standard.

Room Tip: Probably a good idea to request one that doesn't overlook the nearby walled cemetery, o.k if you...

This hotel at best is 2 star, rooms have no amenities, (sleepers, coffee or tea facilities, mini bar not available for the basic rate). Stayed 3 awful nights (5th to 9th March), weather was excellent, around 25C, the problem was, hotel have a cheap central air conditioner, that not allow cold or hot at the same time, and because those dates are considered by the hotel as winter (25 degree Celsius) the only thing function was heater, as technician explain cold air will be available around mid April! This was a complete nightmare for me to sleep with 25C, reception advise to open the windows, just to hear traffic and singing cats. I was contemplating move to another hotel but being weekend and last minute will be very expensive. Night shift personal was nice, compared to the arrogant woman in the morning shift. Not recommended as is not a 4 star hotel and air conditioned is dictated by what they believe the weather is not by you. Avoid

Very nicely styled hotel, very cosy and contemporary. Decent sized room and bathroom. Close to the beach for a morning run or an evening stroll along the shore. Ok breakfast - could be better. Located in an ordinary residential district so quiet but not too many places to eat nearby. Metro and buses nearby. A good choice if you want a nice quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the centre.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights traveling for business and it really met my expectations. It is categorized as a 4 star and more-less all aspects are on that level.

Rooms are big enough and very clean. Hotel seems to be new, or recently renovated, so everything is in good condition. Beds are very comfortable and aircondition was working perfectly. (since it was winter time, heating was very good). Bathroom is spacious and very clean

Breakfast was very good. All you need is there, including fresh fruits and fresh fruit juice. Espresso coffee was also excellent.

Location is more suitable for tourists, than for business, but there is a taxi available, or underground station near the hotel for all needs.

The only thing that could improve was wireless, which was very bad in the room. (in the lobby was working ok). However, I saw this notice before booking, so this didn't disappointed me at all.

Next time here: yes (of course, with some normal price for this level of hotel).

We were there for a business trip for 5 days in November. The hotel is located in an residential area away from the roaring center of Barcelona. To Rambla Pouble Nou, it's a 10 min. walk where you can have dinner. Nearer to the hotel there is neither any bar nor shop. Room amenities were ok, but nothing special. Breakfast was decent. Service was ok but I was disappointed that the bar closed very early so it was not possible for us to have a drink after returning late from a business dinner.

A 2 night stay was thrown in with a cruise package, and what a nice hotel it is! Quiet in the district of Poblenou, you can walk along the beautiful seafront towards the city. The rooms are nicely kept and provide a nice sanctuary. Everything looks well maintained and cared for. I didn't eat in the hotel as I used my 2 days to go sightseeing, but the menu looked interesting. Reception are very helpful, and Jerry the barman provides service with a smile! The hotel serves a decent local wine at the jaw dropping price of €2.90 a glass, accompanied by absolutely scrumptious olives. The hop on hop off bus is about a 10 minute walk away, although I think I took the scenic route(!), and there are usually taxis outside. I think for what the hotel provides, the price is very reasonable, and I would definitely stay here again.
