We decided to tour with "Hi this is Barcelona" after I heard great reviews of the professionalism, yet candid, and intimate nature of HTIB tours. We are in our late 20s early 30s and wanted to be 1-on-1 with a tour guide so we could custom tailor our walking tour. Our guide, Joan, was perfect at this, he took us thru the gothic area and all over Barcelona in a mere 3 hours - these are areas tht I definitely would have not ventured into had it not been for Joan. he was sweet, funny and young - something that was important to us since we are not really the "touring" type of couple. After the walking tour, Joan took us to a local tapas restaurant (that again we would have not gone to being a tourist!) and we had great conversation over spanish tapas and sangria - what else could be better! If you're looking for an atypical tour experience in Barcelona, this is it!

I highly recommend Hi. This is Barcelona. This was my first trip to Spain, and Jordan went out of his way to customize a tour that was perfect for me! The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a wonderful time exploring some "off the beaten path" spots.

Our guide was Teresa, who was as comfortable digressing from her original plans and then returning to them as we could have wished. We especially liked the way she shared her personal takes on Catalan and Jewish movements and traditions related to the Gothic quarter and the whole region. It felt like having an informed friend taking us around the town for half a day. Highly recommended

We had a bike tour with Christina in the late afternoon on Jan 5. The timing was difficult in that we were unprepared for a crowded, cold, and windy afternoon. Christina led us to cover a lot of area that we wouldn't have seen in Barcelona in such a short time, she is very knowledgable, and certainly has sparkle. She also gave us tips as to the must see sites for our only full day in Barcelona on Jan 6. We were lucky to come across the Three Kings and the mayor as they rode from the harbor to the start of the parade route. Another time in these circumstances I would suggest walking the crowded streets for the first hour or so before picking up the bikes. The tour was expensive in comparison to a four hour bike tour we had in Malaga a week earlier for less than a third the price.

Our family of 8 (4 adults, 4 teenagers) took a driving and walking tour and enjoyed every minute! Angel was very pleasant, answered all our questions thoroughly, infused us with so much background on the history and current news of Spain and Barcelona in particular, that we felt we got more than our day's worth of knowledge and appreciation. Our bus was very comfortable, the driver and Angel communicated well, and we were promptly met after we were dropped off at our various destinations. We especially asked to sample tapas and paella enjoyed by Barcelonians, and were very nicely accommodated. Angel recommended several dishes, of which we enjoyed along with his company. Our only regret was that we were not able to spend more time in this lovely city, but left with very good memories. Highly recommend this tour company!
