Description: Our story begins in 2006 when Mario and Renato Riccio founded a small restaurant called ”Trattoria Pizzeria Gusto. ”The menu increasingly rich and varied is divided into a section with the typical dishes of the Neapolitan tradition, a section of seasonal dishes recommended and a section of true Neapolitan pizzas.Familiar and delicious atmosphere is accompanied by the characteristic ”flavor”Napolitano.Above all,we try to manage the restaurant with a passion and skill that you would expect from a family dedicated from almost un century in the acceptance and the proposition of recipes, food and wine typical of the culture .

On our trip to Barcelona we stayed at U232 Hotel which is close to Gusto's so we went there the second night of our trip and couldn't decide what to have as there was such a good choice on the menu. After seeing the pizza's we thought they looked appetising, so we ordered a pizza each. They were packed with flavour and had thick toppings. On our second visit we had pasta which didn't disappoint. The restaurant was very busy so the service wasn't as good but the owner gave us free focaccia to compensate and Luigi kept us entertained.

i went back to gusto with couple of friend after long time last night and i found gusto very busy more that last year, we had buffalo mozzarella that now is made in barcelona that comes two times per week fresh from a neapolitan factory here in town with buffalo cao milk and it was fantastic, to eat it and also we got some new pastas dishes from gran raviolone stuffed with foie, porcini in butter sauce flavoured with blck truffle, and pappardelle with deer ragu which i believe are a very nice and strong flavor dish if you feel to fill you up. all the stuff and the owner where very nice to us and very friendly we had really good time and very good service from all them. will come again..soon.

People who came after us were served before us. We came in when the restaurant was full and when we finally could order half of the ppl had already left. We asked for the waiter many times, they came and said just a moment, then left us there to wait.

We did not order pizza, which might be a mistake since this is a pizzeria. We ordered fish and steak. The Fish (20 euros) was horribly unfresh prepared with A LOT OF salt to cover the taste (plus salty unfresh clams and squids as decorations), I had a stomach ache back home. The steak (18 euros) was mediocre and small with a pinch of fries. The food were horrible, the wine was mediocre. The water glass smelled.

When it comes to paying, it took the waiter a veeeeeeeeeeeeeery long time to come again. So instead of waiting him to come, we just walked downstairs on our own.

Also we were wearing little, and they took us to a seat right beneath the AC, which as not so pleasant as well.

Nothing good about the food and service at all, couldn't understand why this restaurant is always packed. I have been to other restaurants nearby with only half-price and WAY BETTER food and service.

By absolute chance we stumbled across Gusto, and being absolutely shattered we slumped ourselves down outside.

After sitting there for 15 minutes waiting for the restaurant to open, the moody waiter grumbled something about us to move tables as that one was set for 4 (he moved us to one set for 3). He then also seemed put out that we decided to share a pizza. It did come in record quick time, and if I was to rate the food alone it would easily be a 5 this time as the pizza was fantastic. Our friend then brought the wrong drinks out. He was a lot more friendly with the couple of tables of locals who were close by. This really narks me about Barcelona. I try to avoid the ultra tourist areas but find a lot of places just seem to grump their way about you.

In summary, definitely go for the food.
