Description: A restaurant concept based on the traditional Basque taverns, spaces to share the country’s best ciders and wines with the best quality Basque cuisine. A concept composed of two options: a pintxos bar with more than 80 varieties, and the grill restaurant with meats and grilled fish as the main attraction.

“Great restaurant”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

Just to alert future costomers, Sagardi BCN Gothic is made up of two restaraunts, the tapas bar and the traditional restaurant. We ate on the restaurant side but found that it was also had many tapas to choose from. First, we started with sardines and a salad, and continued to have some iberico, which was delicious (most iberico is delicious), and also some croquettes, which were creamy and full of potato. We were also served delicious fried mini sausages, and we had delicious deserts, which were a decadant rice pudding, and a creme catalana. Overall, a fine pick for dining in the great city of Barcelona.

“Unforgettable dinner!”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

For my husband's 70 birthday we chose this elegant but warm restaurant (do not mix up, the tapas section is not the restaurant, they are close to each other). Everything was perfect, delicious food, good wine, and attentive service. It really deserves: gorgeous starters - offered by the restaurant - red tunafish on a salad and a great dessert. And at the end they offered a superlative chocolate ball! Enjoy a different and unique basque dinner!

“Quick tapas. Pick out your food, eat and count the toothpicks. ”
Reviewed December 18, 2013 via mobile

Good quick option in the Gothic Quarter. Good wine values by the glass.

All the tapas are displayed, you get a plate and pick what you want. At the end of the meal, they charge you via the number of toothpicks. Basically like conveyor belt sushi for tapas in an admittedly tourist heavy area.

Not a destination, but you could do worse for a food and drink pit stop.

“Good Tapas in Barcelona!”
Reviewed December 10, 2013 via mobile

We tried this restaurant and spend quality time there.
They have some tables with tall stools to sit. Else lot of people don't mind eating while standing but that's not my way.

Food quality is very good and the staff comes up with some special signature dishes often. Try mushroom croquet and cheese bread marmalade dish.

The concept is simple- each dish has a toothpick attached to it - you pick up whatever you like and the restaurant will bill you depending on the number of toothpicks you have in plate. Very trustworthy concept.

We tried a gelato diagonally opposite to restaurant and it was fun combination.

“Quick See Them and Eat Them Tapas”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

Landing in Barcelona and arriving in the Born, this spot with open doors extending to al fresco tables was a fine spot to nourish when starved. A bit confused as new tourists in town, the benefit of seeing what you were selecting helped. If like us, a bit overwhelmed and hungry, don't think twice, grab a plate, select a few small bites and settle into a table. A server will come over to take your wine order and after you settle your famish to grab your toothpicks to tally up your bill.
