“See what you get”

We walked in without knowing what to expect and Sagardi turned out to be the place we kept talking for the rest of our trip. Trays of tapas with 15 to 20 varieties and a moderate selection of wine. They announce freshly arrived tapas as you sit. Most are delicious Environment is relaxed Nice seating outside Moderate varities of drinks It does not change your view of life but we had one of the happiest and most satisfactory dinner we had in Barcelona

“Tapas with a twist”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

While this Basque centered tapas bar has been rated well by Rick Steves and others, we stumbled upon it prior to realizing the reviews. It was clean, cool and bountiful tapas of all kinds. The unique huge Basque wine cask in the background lent a traditional vibe in the room, and it's just as fun to sit inside as out. Our hostess/server was very kind and informative, and directed us to some particularly delicious items, freshly cooked. The toothpicks added up quickly! The sangria is great as well. Tapas make Barcelona, and this particular place is a don't miss for lunch.

“Excellent”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

There is a very busy tapas bar where it is standing room only. We had a reservation with friends so we were shown to the quieter section, with tables. However we indicated that we would like to have tapas from the bar as our starters, and the restaurant obliged. Delicious. Had hake as main - very good. Wine moderately priced. Not a cheap meal but very enjoyable. Worth a return visit to the tapas bar - creative food

“Overrated”
Reviewed June 1, 2013 via mobile

I do not know if it was the rush hour but my wife and me after an exhausting day sat in this restaurant to eat. The service was fast and accurate but the portions were too small for their price. The food wasn't anything exceptional, just plain barbecued meat. Such a disappointment.

“Fun Relaxed Atmosphere”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This is a fun tapas bar where you walk up to the bar (or sit outside if you can find a table) and grab a plate. You help yourself to fun tapas arranged on the bar. When you are done, the servers count up the toothpicks on your plate to determine the total. All tapas have a toothpick and are 1.80 euros each. Behind the the tapas bar is the actual restaurant meals and tasty steak. Recommended by Rick Steves as well.
