Had a great stay in this hotel at the start of our holiday. The hotel is modern with free wifi and in a great location overlooking the sea and many of the cities landmarks. Travelling with kids we went up to the roof to find the pool and I have never seen a pool like it! pool, Jacuzzi and rooftop bar were fabulous after a long day walking around this great City, will stay every time we are in Barcelona in future, a great hotel with great staff!

Room Tip: Get a high floor-amazing views!

We stayed here in May 2012 with our two children aged 6 and 3. We found this to be an excellent and family friendly city hotel.

The room was modern, simple and spotlessly clean. The communal areas were spacious and modern. We particularly liked the small play are for children which is a rarity in city centre hotels.

The rooftop pool had amazing views and a gorgeous terrace. It was a lovely place to relax after a day of sight seeing.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were booked B&B and found the breakfast to be excellent and service very good.

There is a shopping centre across the road which had a play area and some restaurants which we found handy. We also used the open top tour bus which stops across the road and is a good way of getting around. The is slightly out of the main tourist centre but we found it easily walkable (even with our six year old in tow). It took about 30 min to Las Ramblas.

A great hotel and excellent value for money. We would definitely stay here again.

My family stayed here for 3 nights and we had the best time. The staff are so helpful finding the internet connection for my son, the tv channel for football etc. Wonderful facilities for kids and teenagers with X Box and computers. Lovely pool and bar on the top floor with a view of the whole city. So much choice for breakfast. Only a short journey by taxi to Placa Catalunya costing around 6 euros and well worth it as this is the main area of the city. Just great!!

Room Tip: Ask for a view when booking as it is wonderful.

My wife and me stayed there atthis Novotel in Barcelonafor a couple of Days during visiting some Friends near there and this Hotel was a good Choice. normal Standard (as ususally in those Hotels from that Company) - so do not expect something special, but you can expect that all is good and clean. Very friendly Staff at the Reception. They did also speak good english.

We stayed for four nights and the room was perfectly adequate for us and our 20 year old son on the sofa bed. We were out and about most of the day so didn't use the facilitates that much although did use the gym, a bit small but had a treadmill which suited us fine. The breakfast buffet was good value (included in our room rate) as you could have much as you wanted. The location was a bit out of the way for the centre of Barcelona but we walked to the Placa da Catalunya one morning in about 45 mins and used the reasonably priced tram and metro system to get around. Ate in a couple of restaurants in the Glories shopping centre and would definitely recommend the two day sightseeing bus tours as a great way to see everything - and decide where you want to explore a bit further. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful

Fabulous place for family vacation. great location, great public transport and just a short 20 minutes from the beaches (or 4 tramway stops). Metro station is very close by and there is nor problem to get to all major sights within a short period of time.
We had a best room ever with an incredibly view of Barcelona, the city and the sea. Huge full bathroom and an additional smaller bathroom. Only b-moll: the sofa bed needs up-dating.
Kids were very happy with an incredible roof-top pool, gym and lounge area. Also, great play room and computer games... Excellent shopping area just across the hotel with numerous restaurants for all budgets.
Staff was very friendly with adults and children alike. they helped us find all places we wanted to visit - even the frozen yogurts...

Room Tip: Corner room - high floor, large, sunny and an incredible view.

We stayed as family of 5 for 5 nights. We had 2 rooms and had family rate- breakfast was free for children and because we pre booked we got 20% discount so paid approx £25 for all five of us- it was great value. The breakfast service was efficient and there was a good range of food which was replenished quickly. It was very good quality.
Rooms were very clean and a good size- I agree that with sofa bed out room is restricted but we were still comfortable. Our room overlooked the Torre Agbar and Sagrada Familia and had a fantastic view over the city including the sea and the castle.
The hotel is close to Glories shopping centre and we bought drinks there in a Carrefour as mini bar prices were €3.50 per item! Water at Carrefour was about 30c.
We ate at Udon and La Tagliettelle at the shopping centre and both were good food and service. However on our last night we discovered(through TA) that there was a street 3 blocks away- Rambla del Poblenou- ( turn right on Ave Diagonal) which had a range of smaller restaurants- I wish we had found this earlier. You can also walk down this street to the sea- about 1 km.
We ate at InRed- it was great. The menu is limited but the food was homemade and delicious.
Transport from the hotel is really easy via metro which is 3 min walk- the metro is quick and efficient.
We walked to Sagrada Familiar- it took about 20 mins.
The hotel pool is small but it is great after a hot and busy day walking around this beautiful city. The rooftop area is lovely and has great views of city. The pool bar drinks are expensive. We ate one night on the rooftop- it was a themed BBQ menu and though a bit expensive at €22 per person for 3 courses- the food was lovely.
The hotel staff were polite and efficient.
I would definately recommend this hotel.
