The hotel itself is on Avenue Diagonal, and is a good walk from the city centre. It is however right next to Glories metro stop so it only takes about five minutes to get there. Hotel is clean and tidy and still looks very new, rooms were OK without being anything spectacular. The most annoying thing was the constant buzz from the electrical current running through the light fittings at night - we were offered another room, but it was the same. The only way we found to resolve it was to take the card out the power socket and effectively have no electricity to the room - not great if you have to get up to visit the loo in the middle of the night and it's pitch black!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor room facing the city for a panoramic view across Barcelona

WOW!

My husband and I spent two nights in the Novotel and enjoyed every second!

When booking the room I asked for a room with a view and wow did we get one! We had a wonderful view of the Torre Agbar building! The light show was fantastic to look at while having a drink in the room in the evening before heading out.

On checking in the receptionist could not have been any nicer or more helpful! She gave us a map of the city and pointed out some sights and where to find sites, ATM points and the nearest metro stations!

The rooms are excellent! Very clean, comfortable and stylish! Lush is my favourite word to describe this hotel! Breakfast was included in our booking and it was fantastic! The choice was a very wide range of parties, hot and cold foods all were delicious!

The bar is very reasonably priced and Fridays are great in this hotel! it has a happy Friday theme and on ordering our drinks we received two delicious fruit drinks from a very lovely lady that was serving at the bar that day!

The roof Terry's is also a great plus to the hotel! The pool was not open at the time we stayed but we did not miss it at all as it was a short stay!

The hotel is very close to Glories shopping centre, facing the Torres Agbar building and about a 15 minute walk from Sagrada Familia! There is a supermarket and ATM in the shopping centre!

My advice is to just go for it and try out the metro! It is confusing to start with but once you figure out which lines take you where it is excellent for getting around Barcelona! And a lot cheaper than taxis!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher room with a view! Hotel offers non and smoking rooms on arrival! X

Excellent location next to the Agbar Tower and the Glòries metro station. Room is pretty small and smelled like cold cigarette smoke even though the reception told us it was a non-smoking room. Their remedy was to simply spray some air refresher everywhere...windows don't really open either. Television is practically only Spanish, there are some foreign canals hidden at the end, but difficult to find if you don't want to keep zapping for 15 minutes.

Price Is ok, but Novotel hotels outside Europe are just so much better...

Rooms are very clean.Efficient size rooms. Room has a coffee and tea making facility and a safe. There is a couch and desk and they are all well placed. The hotel's restaurant food is pretty good and service is very good.Sometimes,check-in is bit delayed, but still good service. In the lobby there is a little bar and even a play area for kids.
The hotel is right hext to Torre Agbar,so very easy to find the location. There is a metro station right infront and if you want to take a cab, it costs around 8bucks to the city center.Sagrada Familia is also walking distance. Novotel Barcelona City is good or business and touristic trips.

Location: Metro station L1 is just 3 minutes away, bus station and tramway is just out the door. A big shopping mall is just on front of the hotel for shopping and there are some restaurants to have lunch or dinner.
The hotel is easily accessible by all means of transportation. just 3 or 4 metro stations to the city center and it is easy to go to all tourists attraction.
In general Barcelona's attraction is well connected by the public transportation.

Breakfast is very good and there were enough variety to enjoy the meal.
The room space is very good compared to hotels in Europe. All room facilities is perfect.
The staff is polite and helpful, the hotel is clean and very well decorated.
Thanks for every body who made our stay very comfortable.

Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable.

My room had a coffee maker and mini refrigerator. I had to ask for iron and iron board. Because of how it was design, the divider door in my room could be opened wide and able me to enjoy the TV while I was taking a bath. Nice bright vanity area was appreciated when I was putting makeup. Also the hair dryer was powerful. If you get a room on West side, you have a nice view of Torra Agbar however there is a big construction right next to it now and it can be a bit noisy.

From the 19th floor you can see a nice view of the Barcelona sitting in the jacuzzi or swimming in a pool. There is a nice size terrace there for soaking the Spanish sun as well. The same floor has a small but sufficiently equipped work out place.

The WIFI signal was very good. The hotel personals were very helpful and friendly. I did not try their restaurant but, there was a big restaurant connected to the hotel and a bar in the lobby.

The location is quite good. It is not in the heart of the town but the metro and tram stations are three minutes walk and the red Hop on Hop off bus stops right around the corner. The walk to the Sagrada Familia was 25 minutes and passed by a big flea market area. A large mall with a super market is just across the road.

Room Tip: West facing high floor

Great Room. Double bed and double sofa bed (2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 10). Plenty of room (compared to other hotels we visited in Europe) Small mini bar fridge, tea/coffee making facilities. Good size bathroom. In room safe and plenty of room for our luggage. Room had a view of the Torre Agbar which was great to watch the ‘light show’ at night.

Hotel has restaurant, bar, x-box in lobby. Free wi-fi available in room which worked well.

Parking was easy to locate off “Carrer Ciutat de Granada” but the cost was a bit steep at 18 Euro per day.

Check-in was effecient and friendly. Check-out took a little longer as people seemed to be having issues with their accounts.

As stated in previous reviews…a Carrefour and many other shops are across the road (closed 25th and 26th December!). We were able to walk comfortably to the Sagrada Familia (20 minutes) and the next day to La Pederra (35 minutes) The metro station Glories is a mere 2 minute walk from the hotel (a 10 trip ticket for the Metro cost E9.45)

For those in Barcelona on Christmas Day - just about all of the restaurants along La Ramblas were open Christmas Day with their normal menus / prices. Although La Ramblas was packed it was easy to get a table just about anywhere.

The only negative of this hotel was the noisy shower that tended to run hot and cold!
