I wanted a hotel room for a family of four near the old city, but the few options I found were too expensive. So, I compromised with Novotel.
This hotel was clean and very comfortable with a great staff and very family friendly. The room was a bit tight for four, but workable. The kids loved the rooftop poll and steam rooms.
While the location wasn't what I wanted, it worked out just fine. The glories Metro stop is only two blocks away. You can get to the old city in just three stops. I walked it one day in a half hour. If you want one of those hop-on-hop-off tourist busses, the red one operated by Gray Line has a stop across the street.
Some other reviewers have complained about the breakfast, but we give it high marks. The buffet choices were extensive with made to order omelets, several varieties of eggs, meats, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pancakes and pastries. Yes, the 18 Euro per head price is high, but kids under 16 eat free. So, all four of us ate very well for 36 Euro. My wife and I had a lovely dinner in the restaurant one evening. They had a fixed price menu for 19 Euro. Choices were limited, but what we got was delicioous!
All in all, we were delighted with our choice.More
