Fish and meat like "tapas" kept on the side surrounded by flies. No clue what you are eating!! As it doesn't have any kind of labelling to tell you what anything is! Had the oysters, badly pre-pared. Mouthful of the inside shell. Left two because they looked at smelt awful. Wine was ok. Me and my partner wanted to leave as quickly as possible to find somewhere to eat that was actually edible! Don't be fooled by the interior. Tried to get the waiters attention to swiftly get the bill and he avoided eye contact for about 10minutes. Went up to the bar instead! Looks nice but no cigar!

Couldn't recommend this place enough. Clean, friendly, efficient and fun.

Ate here twice during a recent quick visit to Barcelona and I loved it every time.

First off..if you know anything about the owners of Orio or any of their other restaurants, you will know one thing for sure..they pay very close attention to detail. Freshest of food, attentive staff and an ambience that is truly memorable.

Fun system for eating tapas. They are called pinchots because they are set out on a buffet and there are a variety of them available. Different toppings on sliced bread. There was smoked salmon, crab salad, cheese, Iberico ham, shrimp, lots of others. Each has a toothpick on on top. You fill your plate, and when you are done the waiter counts your toothpicks in order to figure your check. A lot like eating dim sum in a Chinese restaurant, where they count the little plates you took from the carts. Most of the pinchots were room temperature, but hot ones came out with a waiter as they made them in the kitchen. They also had fresh oysters, but we did not try them.

The food was very good, so good that we ate here twice while in Barcelona!

Loved this place. Happened to stumble upon this place while walking around the gothic quarter and decided to pop in. We had already eaten lunch but it looked so appetizing that I dragged my husband in. We were explained how it worked- for each toothpick on your plate they charge 2 euro, and you help yourself. I had no clue what anything was at the bar but picked a few items and they were all very yummy. Waiters were also walking around with things to try an they were also yummy. There was a man in the corner shucking fresh oysters. I would definitely return to this place!
