It's convenient only for its location, 150 metres away from Plaza Catalunia. Otherwise, mind the time you arrive, as there might not be anybody to do the check-in, so contact the hostal to find out. As to the room we had, very basic, a shelf on top of your pillow can be a danger when waking up in room 2; just one socket, and in the bathroom, plus you need to have the light on for your mobile devices to get charged.
In fact, too basic for its price, unless you choose it for its location.

Barcelona has loads of turists....it's like they can' t be bothered to make you feel at home, they don't realise what would happen if tourists would stop pouring in.
This hostal, it more of a hostel than a hotel, is very well placed...meters from plazza Catalunya and upper part of Las Ramblas, people at the reception were polite and quite helpful when we needed extra help. The rooms need a refurbish tough, they are terrible, the owner need to invest to keep it's bussines. Sorry to have to do this ....for the staff....but have a look at the pictures....my advice...sacrifice a bit more money and chose something better.
