My husband and I had a fabulous time on our private Montserrat and Penedes wine tasting tour. Isabel customized an itinerary and wine tastings that perfectly met our wishes. Our guide, Jose Luis, was knowledgeable and personable and we hope to travel with him again. The wineries treated us as special guests. Lunch was delicious and the wine was abundant. We will definitely work with Spanish Trails for our future trips to Spain.

A group of six friends spent three days nd her Barcelona at the start of a Windstar Cruise to Rome. Isabel of Spanish Trails got us organized. We started of the second day with a half day sightseeing including Park Gruel and the stupendous Sagrada Familia. Palmona was our very knowledgeable and personable guide throughout the day. That evening we had a fun and filling paella dinner at Can Majo on the waterfront, also recommended by Isabel.

The third day our guide was Alex who led us on a walking adventure thru old town. On the way we saw more Gaudi buildings and a mouth watering market. Alex then led us to a small bistro for tapas and cold Estrella beers. The pork tacos were splendid.

That same evening, Alex was our guide again for our five hour tapas and wine tour through the old part of the city and we visited delightful small bars and had way too much fun eating tapas and drinking various Spanish wines and vermouths.

In closing I don't think you can go wrong in putting your Barcelona desires in the hands of Spanish Trails.

I had the best day exploring Costa Brava. Felipo was our guide and he really made the experience enjoyable. The trail was absolutely stunning, we had a great lunch, and there was the perfect amount of time to relax at the beach and enjoy the water. Great day!

We had a great guide who stopped along the way to the mountains to take us to the best croissants I've ever had! Very nice town, amazing views, and lunch, which all provided a great break from the city. I've been on a couple of Spanish Trails tours and the food both times have been excellent!

Had the most beautiful time exploring the coast north of Barcelona! Had some of the best paella and rock jumped into the clear blue sea! Philipo was an awesome guide and taught us a lot as well!

The trip I took to Girona with Spanish Trails was amazing! We got to see the big parts of the city, walked around in the forest, and had some really good food. Our tour good was very informative and knowledgeable and it was just a train ride away from Barcelona. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best tours and experiences I have ever done. We walked right on the edge of the coast line of Costa Brava with continuous beautiful views. We got to take a break from the hike to do a little cliff jump into the water. At the end of the hike we had a delicious lunch with local paella and wine in the city of Cadaqués. After our amazing lunch we had some free time to walk around the city and relax on the beaches.

Do not miss the opportunity to take this excellent tour. Visiting the Dali house and museum was among the highlights of our stay in Spain. Our guide, Andrew, was thorough, informative, humorous, and gracious.

Aurora was great and tour was enjoyable sampling of wonderful Spanish foods and wines and interesting food and drink history and traditions. Just the right mix of history walking, good conversation and wine and food tasting. You will end the tour well informed and equipped with knowledge for eating and drinking well in Barcelona.

This tour was wonderful and I highly recommend it. Our guide was Daniel, a transplanted Englander, whose knowledge of Montserrat and Spanish history was terrific. Daniel is also fluent in Spanish. Montserrat is an amazing site as is its history. Afterwards, we had lunch, with wine, in a small restaurant in the village just below Montserrat. The food was delicious. From there, we travelled to the Penedés wine region and visited Descregut, a family owned vineyard, and were treated to a wonderful tour by winemaker Mark Mirál and, of course, tasted some of his delicious wines and cava. We travelled in a comfortable air conditioned van and were on tour with just one other couple, Bernie and Colleen who were visiting from Canada. They were lots of fun and friendly which made the tour for my wife and me memorable. Spanish Trails may be a small company but they’re not a fly-by-night outfit. You won’t go wrong. And, given the large tour groups we encountered at Montserrat in the late morning and early afternoon, this tour was perfect. You’ll be glad you did.
