This was a very nice experience imo.. The service was accurate and the food was very good. Even the Toro tuna is compareble with my visit to Japan.
I will revisit when I'm back in Barcelona.

I ate here twice my last visit to Barcelona and loved it both times. I had the tasting menu both times and got the high table in the center of the restaurant. From there, you have an excellent view of the food preparation and it was excellent people watching as well. Totally deserves its positive Michelin review.

Definitely loved! Japanese cuisine has always been one of my faves, especially after visiting Japan. We took the gastro menu, and the courses kept coming. Feeling full, had to take a bite and leave the rest of some of the courses, so that we can taste all of them. We regretted doing so the very next day tho. Each course was mouth watering (especially tuna plate and the soup). We even thought of having another dinner before leaving, this time a la carte, to choose what we liked from the menu the most. This restaurant, btw, has a great range of sake, a gem for sake lovers. If you tell that you are allergic to something while ordering, they offer replacing your courses with something you choose. Already saved this restaurant for a second round.

We came after Mass at the Cathedral on Sunday. It was about 12.45 pm and the staff said that the restaurant is only open at 1.30pm. I told them the trip advisor site says 1 pm but they politely pointed out that their website says 1.30 pm (hello editor of trip advisor, please update your website).

We came back at 1.30 and sat at the bar counter. The presentation of the food was very well plated. Appetizers started small and refreshing. Soup was served in a cup, an eclectic change. Then the courses kept coming and coming.

This obviously is a very well trained and we'll run kitchen. I counted at lest 15 staff at the open kitchen. Each in charge of their station. The young lady in front of our sitting area was responsible to keep an eye on when we finish our food and get the next course coming. She also explained every dish and ingredient we are.

Every dish was delicate and sumptuous. The only one that I thought fell short was the lotus and shrimps. It was supposed to be sweet shrimps but it fell flat and no sweetness.
The other dish which is grilled shrimp on a bed of salt was sweet and frangant.
The Japanese rice with mushrooms was nicely soaked in the Flavours.
The best was the sushi. The toro meat is definitely top quality and melts in your mouth. We saved it for last.

And there are 2 deserts. The first has some alcohol in it and when I explained to the staff, she very quickly said no problem and offered me other options. I settled for Mochie and it was one of the best I had. Soft and right texture.

Lucky we didn't add the Wagyu beef because I don't think we would have been able to finish it.
My husband and I said we will return definitely. Maybe the next time we can find space for the beef.

So we would rate it a very close 5.
