We were lucky enough to be staying near this branch of Trobador so we gravitated there on several occasions.
We had breakfast there and also a late supper.
What I am really reviewing though is the three course meal we had on our last night- it was devine.
I can definitely recommend the Iberian ham on the slate and artichoke chips for starter for two to share. The tastes and textures were sublime together.
The walnut, bacon and cheese salad and the filled bottini as mains were wonderful.
What absolutely stole the show for us was the heavenly truffles as dessert, four wonderful little parcels of slightly chewy chocolate heaven on little beds of cream, finished with mint leaves. Perfection- probably the best truffles I have ever tasted.
All this washed down with local beer and wines made for a very pleasant meal. We sat outside, taking advantage of the fact that although it was cool temperature wise for Barcelona, it is wonderful to be able to enjoy such a meal while sitting outside.
Although the staff weren't the greatest English speakers, we managed and they were polite and jovial.
Again it was busy with locals- something we like to see.
Can definitely recommend!
