“Nice indian food with great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012 via mobile

This was a nice experience during our Barcelona visit. Great food and service and there seemed to be a lot of guests of inian heritage. Very good vegetarian which is good variation because the spanish kitchen is heavy on meat.

“Excellent food and service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

As Indians, and being a vegetarian at that; we always try and look for an Indian restaurant for some meal options. We were really glad to have found Namaste, quite close to where we were staying (Carrer d' Arago street). Firstly, the decor. It really is nothing much to write home about. Neither elegant nor sophisticated;it definitely needs a face lift. But the chairs are okay and the airconditioning is good, so you can enjoy your meal in some comfort. Secondly, the waiters are really nice, friendly and gave us good recommendations. The food however is delicious. Slightly oily, but perfectly balanced and fingerlicking good! We had wanted to also try out the Bembi restaurant during our stay in Barcelona, but we liked the food of Namaste so much, that we went back to this restaurant three more times! We even got chole masala packed to have with some bread for our trip from Barcelona to France. Yeah, so suffice to say we really liked the food here. The Naan, roomali roti, aloo gobhi, dal tarka, chicken biryani, chole masala were fantastic, mixed vegetable curry was passable and the samosas were good!
Tip: The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

“Excellent Indian food for Barcelona standards.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2012 via mobile

Ambience :
Cheap , tacky decor. Annoying laser light beaming against wall .Amusing Bollywood dance videos on tv monitor . Depressing atmosphere. Establishment definitely needs a face lift. Namaste lacks the sophistication of world class Indian restaurants as in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Dubai and London . However ......
Food :
Food here has been consistently excellent and authentic . No frills Indian restaurant .
Namaste comes close to rival Indian restaurants in London . The food is delicious . The lentil soup was a nice starter. Chicken vindaloo was absolutely delicious , yet not thermo-nuclear overly burning spicy hot  . The variety of ingredients and spices to make the Vindaloo chicken was very flavourful . Mango cream/ lychee and vanilla ice cream was superb following a spicy meal . Was told by waiter that this dessert was made with love , and rightfully so; a perfect ending to a very satisfying meal. Limited wine list ; the 7 euro house white wine was simple and acceptable.

The prawn Masala was delicious and naan is nice with this. We did not like much of the starters it was too bland and boring.
