Hotel Silken Ramblas Barcelona

Nice hotel in a great location. Lobby is very bright and modern, but corridors are dark with carpeting that badly needs replacing, and walls that need refinishing. The only negatives that keep it from a 5 point review. Rooms are comfortable with excellent king sized beds, though lighting could be better. Front desk staff is outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. We rented a car through the hotel and were overcharged by the rental company, but the problem was quickly resolved by Diana at the front desk. Would definitely stay there again

We stayed here for a long weekend during our stay in Barcelona. It was conveniently located about two blocks away from Las Ramblas and had everything you needed. It was on the more expensive side but decent for the location.

If you want to stay on the Ramblas then book here. It is just up a side street so it's ideal.
The only noise we suffered were two nights of teenage girls coming home drunk in the small hours and not having the sense to even try to hush and go directly to their room they messed about in the corridors the night staff should have told them to be quiet. They left and the rest of our nights sleep was undisturbed!

We had a triple room which was a really good size not just an extra bed shoved in, we had plenty of room and the bathroom was good too. Staying here ment we we're able to walk everywhere and having been to Barcelona a few times b4 I was left wondering why I never stayed there then! We never had to bother with trams and only tookthe metro when we went to Montserrat. Every night walking back we were so pleased we were staying where we were.

We took the bus from the airport and walked down the road to the hotel, nice and easy.
The pool is small but it was really nice to be able to go up and lounge about in the beautiful evening sunshine.

This hotel has no soul. The staff was just neutral the time I was there, Room as OK though but not really worth recommending. Clean and well insulated. Just 100 meters from Rambla Catalunya but some other hotels in the same area are by far better. My preference is Regina.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at the front : pretty noisy street

Great location. I arrived at one am finding out that my reservation was canceled by a travel agency which i had never used. The person at the reception said that he could not help with the problem and if my credit card was previously charged or not was none of his concern, he said he could give me a room from scratch. I thought that was not thee way to treat a customer.
