“No Iron or Ironing board!”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at, in all of my years of travelling in Europe, where they do not provide an iron or ironing board.

If you want your clothes ironed, it will cost you upwards of 20 euros for a couple of shirts.

Seems like another way for the hotel to make money off you, and get you to use their laundry facility which is a rip off.

The room had good views over the city, and the breakfast and staff were pretty good.

I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend on a B&B basis....excellent value for money even with it being 4star..it is a 40min trip from the airport which cost 36 euros by taxi.....it has disabled friendly rooms which have all the aids/rails already installed....hotel is beautiful, very clean, the rooms are very spacious & all have a free mini bar & tv with english speaking channels....there is also a spa area which is open too both residents & the public.....there is a pool on the roof with amazing views over Barcelona.....breakfast is buffet style with lots of choice.....there is also a restaurant & bar where you can get food....it is right in the centre of Barcelona.....which is great for all your needs....it is right next door to a massive shopping centre.....I would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Barcelona.....

My first ever experience of staying in a proper classy hotel and I think they have set the bar quite high. The room was immaculate, clean, modern and decorated in a modern design style.
We were lucky enough to be on the top floor looking out over Barcelona, I initially thought this would be a worse view than looking out to sea. Could not have been more wrong, the night view of the lights, the sunsets all incredible. With the added attraction that the blackout blinds were a 100% effective when you did want to go to sleep!
We went on a room only basis and found the cafes across the road good quality and cheap for breakfast- much better value than the hotel's.
We both love to explore on foot so the location was great for us and we loved walking in to town along the beach promenade. Be warned it is not a short stroll, approximately 3km to Port Olimpic and maybe another 2km to the old Port?
There is nothing much apart from a small shopping mall adjacent to the hotel itself, but we wanted somewhere quiet so ideal for us. Buses, tram and Metro right outside.
Free mini fridge in room restocked every day was a nice touch.
Staff were very helpful, we both had Norovirus whilst there and the barman very graciously made me pots of hot water and lemon for no charge.
No problem recommending this hotel and looking forward to going again! As I normally travel solo I would also add I would not feel uncomfortable coming here by myself and felt perfectly safe everywhere.

Room Tip: Go high! The views over the city, in my opinion, are better than looking out to sea.

Stayed 2 nights during the Primavera festival in 2010. Room was spacious with modern furniture, all high standards, very clean. Roof pool was amazing and the beach is only about 5minute walk from hotel. Breakfest was great! One of the best hotels Ive ever stayed at.

I spent 4 nights at the Princess with my daughter and loved it. 4stars at an excellent price. All staff and facilities are excellent. The bar is elegant and not expensive. The room on 21 floor was so comfortable and offered brilliant city views from the balcony. Bathroom well equipped, stylish and all spotlessly clean and serviced. Mini bar in room was free and stocked daily.Buffet breakfast was amongst the best I've ever had and kept us fuelled all day! Location WAS my worry but hotel is only50 metres from Metro and with a T10 card we whizzed around the city, including to and from airport quickly and cheaply. I would definitely stay there again. It was perfect in Winter and adjacent to a good shopping mall and would be great in Summer too as it is on the coast road, next to the sandy beach and very well served by public transport. I brought home the slippers!

Room Tip: All rooms have advantages.

Very convenient to metro, bus, tram stops, and serious mall shopping/eating. Check the hotel's website for special deals. Unique room and lighting design. Sunset and sunrise overlooking the city made for an amazing view from my room. Buy a 10 ride travel ticket and travel everywhere in the city very cheaply. Take the airport bus into the center of the city, walk two blocks to the metro and follow the signs to "Forum." Free mini-bar items and bathroom gift bag was a great touch.

Room Tip: Request a high level floor. One side overlooks the sea and the other the city, so you can't rea...
