Description: Based on an exhaustive selection of the best raw materials in our region, the gastronomic offer is made from simple and tasty tapas to a full season tasting menu. Paying the utmost attention in the respect for the raw materials, producers and our environment, we work to make the gastronomic experience not only pleasant and fun, but also sustainable, fair and healthy. 80% of the products we use in our kitchen, from vegetables, meats and fish, to wines, beverages and breads, come from small producers in the region. This obliges us and allows us to always work with seasonal products and update our menus permanently. We do not use gluten or lactose and the sugar from our desserts is integral and environmentally friendly. The visit of our clients, then, becomes a comprehensive event ranging from the sensory enjoyment proper to an emotional satisfaction derived from the knowledge of knowing that what is being enjoyed also contributes to strengthen the local economy and Our own health.

We were looking for a good crispy suckling pork that was previously on Monteil's menu. Though the menu has since changed, Marcos and the chef obliged and specially prepared for us their crispy sucking pork. We had the gastronomic tasting menu which was simply delightful and very reasonably priced for the quality and visually stimulating presentation. Marcos has very intimate knowledge of the menu and explained very well the thought process of how the various ingredients were combined to deliver the superb meal. Not to be missed! Will definitely come back again.

This is a great place to enjoy the best of contemporary Spanish cuisine. Ingredients are sourced locally and are cooked and presented with finesse and flair by the knowledgable and friendly staff. We enjoyed the gourmet taster menu and the accompanying wine selection. This is a great choice if you want to get the most out of the experience and works out at about 100 euros each, to cover aperitif, hors d'ouves, six courses with accompanying wines, petit fours, desert wine and coffee. If this sounds too much food and alcohol, bear in mind that the portions of both are sensibly sized. The emphasis is on quality not quantity. It is also possible to choose from a cheaper menu option and the extensive wine list. A final tip: the place is tucked away in a small pedestrian area, so take careful note of the address.

A three hour dining experience we did not want to end. Our waiter was knowledge and friendly, always providing detailed information on the plates we were to be served. The tasting menu looks intimidating at first, be the portions are perfect to the structure of the menu. Every culinary tasting detail has be thought out, including the pairing of the wines. The restaurant prides itself on locally sourced ingredients and seasonal selections. It's a small, peaceful restaurant, hidden down one of the narrow side streets in the Borne District. Every plate that came out seemed like a work of culinary art while painting masterpiece flavors all over your palate. There's something magical going in the Montiel kitchen and I only wish I was back in Barcelona to enjoy it again.
