“Great hostel”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. It´s great for people travelling alone since it offers events every day (pub crawl + some other activity like pealla night, tapas night, etc.). The staff is awesome, the rooms comfortable.

This place was amazing, easily one of the cleanest and best hostels I've stayed at during my trip through Europe. Not only was it the nicest and cleanest, it was also the most socialable. Zach immediately welcomes you and takes the hostel out for drinks every single night. If you're traveling alone or as a pair, then this is the place for you. So amazing!

I stayed here for 4 days and shared an apartment unit with a friend. The unit had a private bathroom, kitchen and balcony; extremely clean, and for the light sleepers I can vouch an extremely quite nights sleep. The location was great as it is in a residential area (lots of great cafes, restaurants and groceries), 5 mins from Sagrada Familia and even less to two metro stops, one north and the other south of here. As for the environment and vibe I couldn't compliment the staff enough for their extreme helpfulness and the events they held (specially the pub crawls and jazz night). The individuals whose names I recall were Tat, Hannah, Sophia, Daves, Marco and Zack (you cant go wrong with these guys helping you out), and everyone else that helped and names I forgot. Through the staff's help I managed to get tickets to the Barca v Milan champions league game on the day of the game with a sick view; got advice on which sites to visit and how to get there; great recommendations on local eateries; and the nightlife which you can trust the pub crawl and just go with the flow.
I'd highly recommend this location and I will definitely be going back there on my next trip to Barca which one can never get enough of.

Been to the hostel twice and definitely felt very much welcome - all the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hospitality king of my visit must be Christian who remembered very well what I was there for the first time and asked how was it (it was a job interview...), besides all the other help I received from him :) Everything's clean, facilities are great, free wifi everywhere. Events organised almost everyday (from free concerts to paella evenings..) and everyday pub crawls (I've been to one only, but it was aaaawesome). Definitely a very friendly and social place to stay, location pretty good also! Just might be a wee bit noisy if you're looking for some rest

Room Tip: Rooms are quieter in the new part of building (1st and 2nd floors)

I arrived in Barcelona alone and not knowing anyone. By the time I left after 3 nights I had made many friends and so many memories. The staff at Sant Jordi are fun, yet professional and helpful. From showing you around the clean, tidy and quirky hostel to helping you find your feet in a new city. Pub crawls are organised each night which is really the best place to meet people, and have a good night out. Over all my Barcelona experience was made the best thanks to the staff at the hostel. Definitely the place to stay... oh and being a 2min walk from the metro was a cherry on top!

Been to hostel twice, once before the renovations and once after. Loved it both times. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The place is in a good location not too far from some good places to eat. very close to the subway/metro.
