We stayed at the SOHO hotel in the Eixample district ( central, but classy and quiet ). Around the corner we found what we thought was an Irish bar ( typical Guinness sign! ) but turned out to be a really cool lounge bar with a beautiful basement. Nice deco, very 1920's and we loved the chesterfield sofas. They do their own 7 sins cocktails ( one for each sin ) and my girlfriend tried them all (but one). I loved the range of draught beers on tap. I wish we had been staying over a full weekend as they had a cool DJ session on the Fri and we had to leave on Sat morning :-( but it was a great last night. They also had live music on the Thur night previous. We had dinner there one night and had these homemade style hamburgers, very tasty. Next time we are in Barcelona, we'll be back. The staff were mega friendly and the Irish owner was very helpful.
