The hotel website clearly states that all rooms are fully soundproofed. They are not at all soundproofed. I could hear the couple in the room next to mine talking - and more. The room doors slam shut, so if any of your neighbours are in and out of their rooms, yours will actually shake as their doors slam shut. This is a real pity, as otherwise it's a very good three star hotel in a great location. The room I had (507) was spotlessly clean and stylish, and everything else worked as it should. But my stay was ruined by being constantly disturbed by other guests, at all hours of the day and night. The little contact I had with the staff was okay. I liked having a stocked minibar which was replenished everyday and a balcony where I could smoke.

I stayed at this hotel in april with two friends. We all shared a room - a junior suite. The room was in good condition. We couldn't really complain about anything. It was all clean and tidy. The only small detail we would point out is that the walls need to be painted. As for us being 3 people in a room, one problem occured. The bathroomdoor was of glass, so it wasn't quite handy given the fact that we were 1 girl and 2 boys - but we made it work.

The staff was friendly and ready to help and answer our questions.

The location of the hotel was great! It is definetly in the luxurious end of Barcelona. It was a ten-minute walk to metro Passeig de Gracia from where we could take the train to placa catalunya where all the action happends. Placa Catalunya is 20 minutes away by feet if you like walking. The weather was great so we didn't mind.
Also if you like shopping than this area of the town is absolutley perfect, with all the high-end shops being close to the hotel.

You get great value for the money at this hotel!

Our room was at the back of the hotel, but was lovely and provided all the comfort we needed at the end of the day. The computer in the lobby as well as the self-serve snack bar on the first floor was helpful. We enjoyed walking the Diagonal into town each morning. The tour bus stops not far from the hotel, but all else is a bit of a walk. Still, we'd stay there again.

Stayed here for two nights at the beginning of April 2011. The room we had on the 7th floor was one of only 2 with private terraces which were a real bonus. The stylish interiors were wonderful and of a high quality. The breakfasts were good with lots of variety. We loved quirky little features like the little projectors shining the floor nos into the Walls!

awesome hotel, super quiet, super friendly staff, great coffee, nice, upscale location, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the diagonal, beautiful to sit outside with a drink and watch the world pass by. front desk recommended the tourist bus, which was great (and not at all touristy). If not for the bus we would not have been able to see the whole city in 2 days! great stay!

Room Tip: ask for a balcony on upper floor

We took a taxi to the hotel and no trouble finding it at all since it's on a main street. Hotel looked clean and well-kept. One young hotel staff was very helpful and enthusiastic to explain the hotel facilities and directions during our check-in. Unfortunately the free wifi didn't work in our room (which contradicted the main reason we chose this hotel) and I had to sit at the lobby/spiral staircase to "catch" the wifi signal. When it was late at night , there was cigarette smoke smell coming up through the spiral staircase from the reception area. The hair-dryer did not work as well and we were told same problem existed with most of the current batch of hair-dryers and not much they could do. Fortunately a replacement was found on the third night (out of four nights we stayed there; both my friend and I have long hair so this was important). There was not much of noise even though it was on a main street and we slept rather well. Nevertheless it was a bit of distance from the main action, and we did not manage to walk to the La Rambla - bus was advised by the hotel staff. The Barcelona city tour bus-stops was a 10min walk away. There was a Loewe shop just across the road and a nice bakery nearby which was good for breakfast.

Nice hotel, modern decor, excellent rain shower. Quiet despite being on a busy road. Outside of all the main tourist areas, so need to be prepared for some walking. Only other negative was the lady at reception who was, on every occasion we spoke to her, totally miserable, rest of the staff were friendly though.
