We had seen this on a couple of websites & guidebooks but were a bit vague about exactly where to find it - fortunately we walked past it after a walking-tour of Barri Gotic and went in for refreshment and we're pleased we did. Caj Chai is small, soothing and refreshing - the staff were hugely knowledgeable and advised us - for which we were very grateful as there was such an extensive range ot different teas in the menu we barely knew where to start!
The teas & snack cakes were delicious and the cafe was cool on a hot day and uplifting - just what I needed.

White, green , oolong, black, pureh tea of very good quality all are found here. This place is a must to every one fan or not of tea. Beside be relaxed from a long walk in the city you will also clean your intestinal tract and veins

This is sure the best place to enjoy a tea in Barcelona.

They have a great variety of world teas, the mood is very romantic and intimate, and the pastries are very very good and yummy.

The only bad thing to say about it is that on weekends is usually crowded xDD, but it deserves it.

Nestled in the quaint Jewish quarter just meters away from the Barcelona Cathedral in the Gothic quater. "Caj" means Tea. And "chai" means Tea. And that's what you get here: Tea, Tea, Tea. Dozens and dozens of choices. It's a small space, so can feel cramped and claustrophobic between 5.30 and 7pm. Narrow but long space with tables and interesting eclectic (if not so comfy) chairs. There's also a couple of very cool seating clusters for larger groups or those who want an armchair. They also have a nice but limited selection of baked goods. Try the Chai or the Yogi Chai! You'll be glad you did!

The teas, the sweets and the atmosphere are absolutely great. However some teas are served in glasses and not cups and are burning your hand. Bearing in mind you pay 3.50 to 6 eur for a tea they can at least give you a ceramic cup instead of a few napkins
