We stayed at this hotel after a cruise for 1 night (wish we could have stayed longer) and we were very pleased with the location and service. It is in walking distance to everything and the staff is very helpful and nice. Not a bustling hotel but a nice quiet place to stay. The room was nice and clean with all of the amenities you need. The only suprise was the bed is hard and could use a pillow top but we slept well anyway. This is not a "view" hotel as is faces the street or pool but I don't think I could have picked a better place to stay. They even give you chocolate on your pillow at night.

Hotel was very well presented and in an area with nice local Spanish restaurants and close to the metro. Huge double bed and fabulous shower area. Only downsides were wifi was so weak we couldn't use it at all, and the bathrooms all seem to be connected so it sounded often like someone was using our shower! Other than bathroom noise the hotel was very quiet, couldn't hear outside at all. Definitely would stay again!

We chose the Port for our 3 nights weekend trip. The location is just great, less than 5 mins to La Rambla (which we tried to avoid actually, way too touristic) and just a little bit more to Gotic and Santa Maria del Mar church in Born. The street is very quiet, we slept with open windows and woke up with birds singing. But have to mention that we had the junior suite on the roof top. Hotel was clean and staff friendly (though not too attentive; we used the Nespresso machine the first morning and when we came back in the afternoon the dirty cups were still there). We did not opt for the breakfast which is way too expensive with 19 EUR per person taking into account that a coffee and croissant is enough for us. Free WLAN is available. Just a few words to the junior suite: 1) it is nicely located on the roof top on the 5th floor overlooking a place and views to the Port Vell but there is no direct lift access. You need to take the elevator to the 4th floor and then take the stairs to your suite. No problem for us but keep this in mind if you bring heavy luggage or are handicapped. 2) The suite is actually very small. They promote this as close to 70 sqm but it is actually just a small room with bed and a desk, then a small area with a closet and finally the indeed spacious bathroom with open shower. But there is no real sitting area. I expected to have in a 'suite' a table and chairs to sit on. Negative. You have to sit on your bed. It is basically just a double room except that it comes with the big roof terrace which is easily 3 times the size of the bedroom. So if the weather is nice you will surely sit outside on the terrace but if it is too windy/cold you have to sit inside on your bed. 3) No space to hide away 2 cabin trolleys. 4) Most ridiculous and we first could not believe this: yes, there is a table with 2 chairs and 2 sunbeds on the terrace. But they are fixed. I mean, the 2 sunbeds are tied up with a big chain, you can move them a bit but only as far as the chain allows. Even more annoying: the table and 2 chairs are screwed to the ground! You cannot move them at all. Want to move the table to a sunny spot? No chance! Want to turn your chair to sit with your face in the shadow? No chance! Want to move closer to the table to eat your private tapas? No chance! The staff was not too helpful here, just mentioned they could not unscrew the table and chairs since they are fixed for 'security reasons' as they were stolen before. Nonetheless, never had something like this before. And for the money we paid for the 3 nights this was not what we expected. 5) whirlpool is not heated but that was known and we did not use it anyway (could deserve some cleaning by the way, there was dirt on the ground when I lifted the cover). Finally, difficult to rate the hotel. The hotel alone would be 4+ stars in a regular double room but together with the premium rate for the not existing 'suite' that we booked (and expected) plus the limited possibilities on the terrace with all the fixed furniture I can give only 3 stars for the overall package.

We stayed at this hotel from monday to thursday, and I have to say its in a great location on a quiet side street very close to La Rambla the Gothic qtr and the Port. Its well appointed and comfy and the staff are very pleasant and helpful, we asked for a restaurant recommendation and were given one La Fonda in the port area (fantastic food/service/price).
On the downside, on arrival we were asked if we wanted breakfast @19euros each per day, (We actually got superb 3 course meal with drinks for less than the cost of breakfast) and to upgrade to a superior for a further 30 euros, so we hadnt even got to our room yet we were asked for a further 68 euros per day, we declined both offers and instead asked for a free upgrade or free breakfast which was refused, As they had empty rooms why not give an upgrade free, we were told the hotel was v quiet that week and we could have a better room for a price, in my view a very poor practice. would have given better rating otherwise.

I stayed at hotel only one night, but I could find no fault at all . It was quiet relaxing peaceful, the pool is an added bonus but unfortunately we never had time to use it .
The staff are all very friendly and helpful .we would definitely use it again ! It was few minutes from the harbour and the gothic area and la ramble
Just a word of warning , if you order a taxi to the airport from hotel it's meant to be 25/30 euros, but when we arrived at airport the driver asked for forty.
Before you get in the taxi ask how much (quanto es) .

As a regular visitor to Barcelona (2 or 3 times a year) I know what I am looking for. This hotel fits the bill. Great location if like us you like the Gothic Quarter as you are in the middle of it all.
Rooms are ice, well appointed. As we were travelling in February the pool wasn't an option but it looked good& well cared for.
Staff were pleasant. Wifi a bit variable but worked mostly. Breakfast expensive but looked lovely.

Will return if we can get a deal.

Generally excellent hotel:
- Central location with a variety of nice places in the proximity
- Very good value for money
- Extremely nice staff - very good work!!!
- Clean, welcoming, supportive, professional!
- If you are looking for a nice small hotel in central Barcelona, we can clearly recommend this one!

One remark - no issue though: Some noice can be heard from neighboring rooms, e.g. closing doors and showers

Room Tip: The room with terrace (106) can clearly be recommended
