I think I might have visited Bubo’s 4 times during our 7 day stay! Partly because I am a cake person but mainly because of the hot chocolate and custard chucho (think croissant/donut combo, filled with vanilla laden custard, fried and covered in sugar). UNBELIEVABLY GOOD! This has become my favourite breakfast of all time, the hot chocolate was so thick it would barely tip out of the cup and the chucho was just amazing. If I ever go back to Barca I will be eating this for breakfast every day and I will be making it my life’s mission to make chuchos myself. Husband had muesli and yoghurt (lightweight) which was good quality and I sampled a couple of cakes, which were pretty good, but not as good as they looked. We ate tapas at Bubo one evening – cheeseboard was good, chicken/pork skewers were tasteless. But who cares about slightly bland tapas when pastries are as good as this. Best place ever and lovely service from the guy on the terrace.
