Try the chicken satay with the right amount of spice, hint of peanut and no goopy sauce, deep fried provelone with onion chutney, calamari and so many more still left untried. We would definitely eat here again! THANKS Amelie!

First of all, the map appears to be wrong. Amelie (address on their card: "Pl de la Vila de Gracia, 11 (antigua Pl. Rius i Taulet) 08012 Barcelona") is in the North East corner of a small square in the heart of Gracia. We had been planning to try a near-by tapas bar, but it was shut, so spotted a spare table in Amelie, and took a chance (menu unseen). We were not disappointed - the very pleasant waitress went out of her way to be helpful, and the food was first class (the chef is Brazilian we were told), and reasonably priced. There is a reasonable selection of tapas/starters with some not found in the more traditional Spanish tapas bars (humus, echilada, et al). The main courses included duck with hibiscus reduction (not sure about the hibiscus but the duck was very good!), black lasagne seafood, and a good selection of other dishes. Draft beer was a very reasonable €3.10 (June 20102) for a large glass, and there were a number of interesting bottled beers. We also had a very nice Rioja at c. €15. Overall, 6 of us paid just over €30 each for 2.5 courses (we shared puddings) plus beer and wine, and came away feeling very happy with the world. A very pleasant experience all round.
