“A must when eating out in Barcelona”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

We did a lot of research on best places to eat in Barcelona and came across Casa de Tapas. It was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had - so good, we went back twice during our time in Barcelona. After we ate there, nothing else came close and seemed like a waste.

While everything was great, our favorites were:
#1 The suckling pig - A must in our opinion
#2 Beef Cheek in meat sauce - heavenly
#3 Cheese for dessert
#4 Crab and rice dish
#5 Mussels
#6 Avocado Salad with Prawns
#7 Patatas Bravas (not fried which is really nice)
#8 Wine, Cava, Wine, Cava

Pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu but a great dining experience. Service was great too. Friendly staff, provides helpful recommendations and very professional.

Recommend making reservations.

“Casa se Tapas Canota is amazing!”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

We wanted to find a restaurant where we could eat tapas before we visited the magic fountain show. Only 300 meters away we found on tripadvisor. This little restaurant. Our waiter Jim was amazing and very helpfull. We couldnt decide what to order and he gave amazing recommodations. The menu is very cute and with a lot of choices. A tapas restaurant worth visiting!

“Fantastic service, great food”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

I loved this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the value for money excellent. The bulleburger (have one each) and patatas bravas (first time I'd had them with plain boiled potatoes) were excellent.

My husband found the food a little salty, although I didn't (and I am usually more sensitive to salt than him). I can't complain. I really loved this place, the décor is so fun. I wished we had gone there earlier in our trip so could have returned. A must try.

“Sent here from Tickets”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

There was a problem with our Tickets reservation so as a "consolation" we were sent here. This tapas restaurant is owned by the same group at Tickets, but less expensive and more "main stream". We would have liked to have tried everything from each section on the menu, but the portions were generous and we could only eat so much. Although service was slow we enjoyed ourselves. A few "tricks" a la Tickets - for example they bring you a bread basket with a whole tomato and a clove of raw garlic to make your own bread con tomate! I had no idea what to do so I had to watch other customers. The Popsicle/dessert menu is cute too we accidentally ordered ice cream bars that you can easily pick up from the corner store.

“Excellent as always”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

We always go to this restaurant when we are in Barcelona and it is always excellent.

This time we tried the steak to share - served on a stone for cooking to your own liking. Great fun & a great night!

Service always very friendly too.
