What a great experience, we found this places by chance, not very well signposted but clearly doesn't need to promote itself. Stunning with great intimate atmosphere. Not traditional tapas etc, but wonderful unique dishes at incredibly low prices considering the standard. Great decor, lampshades made of spoons etc.
Portions are pretty small but seeing as they are so cheap (approx 7 euro a meal), do as we did and eat 2 mains each..
Would highly recommend. Mmm

Great atmosphere and a very friendly service. Considering we don't speak Spanish we managed very well with the fabulous menu written in two languages on a bottle. The food was very cheap for what it was and the quality was very good. I love the idea of medium sized plates of food, so you can buy two instead of a starter and main. I'm definitely going back. You can find other places with better food but not at this price. For what it is it's really excellent.

We had a lovely dinner at Petra, with great and affordable food and wine. We shared a handful of delicious dishes including octopus carpaccio, gorgonzola with grapes gnocchi, and blood sausage. Their menus are on empty wine bottles (I've never seen it before, it was quite cute) and they have Spanish, English, French and Germany varieties, which was especially accommodating. We were able to walk right in at 8:30 for a table, but by 9 the place was packed, so I'd say that a reservation would probably be helpful to assure a table. The restaurant is on a quiet little passage behind the Santa Maria del Mar, it's nice to duck out of the crowds to have a charming meal.

We were looking for a restaurant on a Wednesday evening in Barcelona and everywhere seemed empty... Except for Petra. It had a great atmosphere and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and the food and all was very reasonable priced. I would certainly recommend!

Petra is a small restaurant, with a nice athmosphere (without much decoration) made of old furniture and elements. It has a good-for-value menu. The personnel is very kind.
