We visited Arola to celebrate a friend's birthday whilst visiting Barecelona. The restaurant is situated on the second floor of the Hotel Arts near the beach, in Port Olimpico. It is a very light, airy restaurant, with a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and friendly and not at all pretentious - they even gave us a mid-meal "break", so we could go out with our drinks onto the terrace to watch an incredible firework display, taking place in the marina. Our party of six ordered a range of tapas and none of them disappointed. Some of the best food all of us had ever tasted. The cocktails were also very good.
Furthermore, the in-house DJ was playing some great laid-back music, which just added to the whole occasion.
It is relatively expensive, but you get what you pay for - incredible food, great setting and knowledgable, friendly staff. First class.
