My husband and I spent a long weekend at this fantastic hotel and could not recommend it more. The meal we had in the restaurant was the best meal we have ever eaten. Absolutely superb!
The hotel is a little out of the centre, but very close to a tube stop, so this isn't a problem at all. Our room was fantastic. There was an extremely comfortable and spacious bed and we had modern furnishings throughout our suite.
My husband was involved in a road accident the evening before we were due to return home and I cannot thank the hotel staff enough for their help, thoughtfulness and kindness. They truly went out of their way to make things as easy as possible for me.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful and very stylish hotel. The room was one of the nicest we've ever stayed in, and although expensive it was worth it. Very warm welcome (and glass of cava) from the staff who cannot do enough for you.

The rooms are beautiful and have everything you could want - if you are into modern style and architecture then this is the place for you. Superb bed and bathroom and plenty gadgets to keep you happy!

We enjoyed lovely drinks and cheese on the terrace for a light lunch, before heading out for a stroll around the surrounding area which although not in the central tourist belt (this is a good thing!) is a lovely residential area. The metro is a few meters away and is very easy and cheap to use to transport you around Barcelona.

We enjoyed an hour in the small spa which was lovely and almost like your own private spa as no one else was in it. The heated beds are a must for weary tourist legs!

Dinner in the evening was absolutely superb, not to be missed.

Similarly breakfast in the morning was one of the best I've ever had, very high quality and local ingredients imaginatively served by a charming lady who looked after us so well.

Overall superb experience and a place I would love to return to.

If you are looking for the perfect boutique hotel to stay in, in Barcelona look no further. The only problem with this place is that the bed is cozy and amazing, it's hard to get up and get ready to tackle the city sights! Enjoy your stay.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend and the hotel is amazing, exactly how the website describes. It's very clean, we had a lovely room and, although slightly out of town, it's in a great location. Being slightly out of town allowed us to go for a really nice walk up the Tibidabo mountain (hill?) Which I think we'd have missed if we were in a more central location.

The service at the hotel was second to none. Greeted late when we arrived after midnight, with a glass of cava and the staff were immediately willing to show us the best locations to go in Barcelona. Also as we were staying for an anniversary, we chose to book a table at the hotel restaurant in advance (mainly because another review mentioned it was difficult to book in advance - thank you!) We had an awesome meal, 13 courses of some of the most amazing food ever, and the staff were brilliant all the way through, giving advice for wine and describing each course in English perfectly. We even had an additional course of chocolates and sweets that we definitely were not expecting.

Lastly, my wife was ill on our last night (not due to the hotel) and the staff in attendance (David and Paloma?) were brilliant - helping us get an earlier flight and being exceptionally understanding.

Despite the illness, we had a great time here and would highly recommend anyone consider this hotel. It's not cheap, but with every penny...

Spent a week in the ABac hotel over the post Christmas/New Years period. On arrival staff came out to help take our luggage from the taxi and the glass of Cava as soon as we sat down to check in was most welcome. Staff were friendly and accommodating, one member in particular took significant time to outline the various sights and hotspots in Barcelona on a map and provided details on how best to get around the city, in addition to showing us how to use the various amenities in the bedroom and bathroom. The rooms are very modern and chic, yet comfortable and cosy. Rooms have all the nice touches including bathrobes & slippers, comfortable couches and beautiful linens. My only gripe was the hair dryer which you had to hold the button down on permanently - a tad out of kilter with the standard of the rest of the amenities and the lack of any face cloths. We ordered room service on a couple of occasions (always omelettes) which was tasty and nicely presented. Breakfast is lovely...my favourite had to be the basil sorbet served with the fresh fruit salad. The bar downstairs is a cool spot for pre dinner drinks too. This place is pricey but is very well run...rooms should probably be a bit bigger however given the price.

- This hotel lived up to our expectations in terms of room comfort and especially quietness. It is highly unusual to find a hotel, especially in a large city, in which the rooms are so well soundproofed.
- We were also very pleased with the helpfulness of the reception staff, and delighted by the extreme care and friendliness of the lady attending to the breakfast. She turned every morning into a sunshine.
- However, we were extremely disappointed by 2 things that spoiled our entire experience at this hotel :

1. We had booked on the website a "Romantic Experience" package for 3 nights that included breakfast. We were therefore shocked to hear upon arrival that the breakfast was included only for one night ! Not only was it never mentioned on the website nor on the confirmation e-mail that we received, but it was completely ridiculous to imagine that a 3-night package with breakfast could mean anything else than breakfast every day of the stay !
This ruined our whole experience since you don't expect such an annoying surprise when you check into a 5-star hotel. When you pay close to 400 euros a night, it is precisely to avoid such hassle.
When we (gently) complained, the person at the reception said she would refer to her manager.
The said manager did not even bother to come back to us and we had to ask again the next morning for news on the subject, which again is not what you expect in such a place.
In the end the breakfasts (31 euros per person per day...) were included, but we were told it was "exceptional" whereas it simply was what we paid for.

2. The "Romantic Experience" package also included a "romantic bath with flower petals". This turned out to be the worst experience of our stay. Frankly we would have found it simply ludicrous if we hadn't paid such an horrendous price for it.
When the bath was prepared, the bathroom was so heated that it resembled more of an extreme sauna than a bath. But the pinnacle of it all was that the "flower petals" were synthetic ones ! We were suddenly thrown into a cheap road-side massage parlour with hot water, the odd candle and nylon roses. Clearly the management of this hotel has decided that buying 3 real roses was not worth the trouble.

Another final disappointment was that we could not eat at the famed restaurant since all tables were booked during our entire stay. Here again most service-oriented 5-star hotels keep tables for their guests at their restaurants. But they don't bother.

Net this hotel is indeed very nice and the staff went a long way to make our stay enjoyable. Yet it was ruined by what we can only assume is the extreme greed of the hotel managers.
Sorry to say that we have stayed in lots of 5-star hotels on the 5 continents, and this will go down as one of the worst overall experiences, simply because we cannot enjoy people trying to rip us off in such a gross way.

We work hard everyday to improve and also we do our best to achieve the complete satisfaction of our guests, we do apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay, that is why, we would like to kindly clarify your comments: 1.- Refering the breakfast, as we could informed you, it was a mistake in the reservation that we solved during your stay. 2.- About the romantic bath with flower petals, we are sorry not have informed you properly that our petals are from a wellknown brand dedicated to the manufacture of flavors and fragrances, and they have created a special silk petal in passion red with dreamy scent of rose. We decided to choose these special petals because the natural red roses stain the enamel of the bathtube. And for us is impossible to clean it up properly. After your review, we have made the appropriate actions in order to avoid missunderstanding like the one you post, by now we clarify in our website that the romanctic bath is with scented silk petals. 3.- Regarding to our Restaurant, we kindly inform you that in all our booking channels we clarify and recommend to our guest to make a reservation in advance due to the high demand for tables and the Restaurant space. We are really sorry that you could not enjoy it.

We truly hope to have clarified your comments as our only aim is to care about our guests and make then live a great experience. Would highly recommend this hotel, the room was very clean, very well appointed , king size bed extremely comfortable and bathroom included both a rain shower and jacuzzi bath. The staff were friendly, very polite and could not do enough for us. I received complimentary fresh fruit with a birthday card sent to the room which was a lovely touch to the very personal service we enjoyed throughout our stay. The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious, and the restaurant taster menu was a gastronomic delight. It is located in a quite area but with easy access to places of interest. The open top bus route and the metro all within 2 min walk of the hotel. The spa was an added bonus though small if hotel full. R Ince Lancashire UK
