Great Location!!! Excellent Food and Service (Personalised). Well worth the visit. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, room overlooking garden (peaceful). Easy to hop on Bus Turistic (Tour) stops at hotel door! hotel would be amazing if it had outdoor pool (pool is indoors). Staff go out of their way to please you. Well worth the visit.

We stayed one night at ABaC and decided also to have dinner there in the evening. Both decisions turned out to be perfect for our short stay in Barcelona. The hotel is amazing and likely one of the best ones we ever stayed at. The personal are friendly, helpful and great. As we arrived by car, the fact that we could park in the underground garage and then walk straight up to the reception, was a nice feature too :-) We both like good food, and the standard at ABaC are really high, including the breakfast.
It is definitely a place we will return to.

We stayed in one of the suites for 4 nights. It gave us somewhere to lounge about at the end of a long day in the city itself. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom, with huge shower and jacuzzi bath, was a pleasure to use. Great soundproofing from the traffic noise.
The staff were extremely helpful , booking tickets ahead to avoid queues, recommending other places to eat, pointing us in the right direction.
The tasting menu in the restaurant was a true experience. Very innovative and we enjoyed sampling the Spanish produce. The sommelier was very good and introduced us to a rather different form of pudding wine!
An extra touch is the spa - a good massage was a must after tramping the streets.
ABaC is not bang in the centre but the underground is easy to use, taxis are plentiful and we did walk back from the centre in about 45 minutes.
Overall a high quality oasis with fabulous staff and amazing food.

I stayed at the ABaC for 5 nights in January 2013, and loved it there. The hotel is amazing--it is small and so guests are well-looked after, and the rooms are so comfortable. The beds are like lying in a nest of feathers, and the black-out curtains ensured I woke up when I wanted to. The shower and bath are great too-- the shower is a rain drop shower, and the bath has chromatherapy (it changes colors of lights).

Breakfast is a real treat-- I made sure to leave a couple hours to try every thing on the menu and feel relaxed through the process.

There is a spa as well. I didn't have any of the treatments, but loved lounging in the jacuzzi and on the heated sun loungers, while drinking herbal tea.

The hotel is located across the street from a train station, so getting into the city center is very easy and quick. The area itself is quiet and upscale, so you don't feel like you're right in the middle of it, but you're very close to everything you'd want to see while you were visiting Barcelona.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms are only accessible through the kitchen (don't forget the Michelin-starred res...

A long weekend in Barcelona - best city brand in the world so very high expectations! The AbAC is a mix of old and new beautifully combined. The largest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Room with a view of trees, lots of light, perfect decor. Rain shower, bath all good. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. Great advice from reception on where to go - even got us two old fogies in to city's trendiest cocktail and tapas bar. AbAC is an oasis of tranquility in this bustling city. It's about 50 metres from the Ave Tibidabo metro station so 10 mins from centre of town. A brilliant place to start from and it come back to. Also has bonus of being right next to the tram stop to go up to Mt Tibidabo for walks and views over the city. Outstanding hotel, brilliant location, great staff. Faultless.

Room Tip: We stayed in a deluxe room, facing gardens. Room was incredibly well soundproofed and quiet.

We recently stayed here while visiting family in Barcelona. While it is a nice facility, very well kept and in a quiet part of Barcelona, it is overpriced for what you get.
I would have to say the highlight of staying here is the rain shower in the bathroom which is unique to say the least. Staff is very friendly. We did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot know if the meal was worth the prices they post.
All in all there are hotels in downtown Barcelona that we have stayed at that are just as pricey but a better value all around.
