Description: Our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 3 *** Michelin. In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. This restaurant is a real experience! From the elegant setting and service to the highly unusual, but delicious food preparation, it is clear why this is a Michelin star rated restaurant . We did not do the fixed prix menu and the dishes are very expensive but there are a lot of extras that come with the meal and overall the cost was well worth the experience.

We have eaten at ABaC on four occasions over the past 6 years -- we try to visit every time we are in Barcelona. Our first meal was when the restaurant was under the purview of the founding chef, Xavier Pellicier. That experience helped us understand that Michelin stars mean a truly special dining experience.

This was our third meal with the current chef, Jordi Cruz and I think it was even more remarkable than previous meals from his kitchen. We had the 12 course tasting lunch on Saturday afternoon. The service was absolutely perfect. The staff is exquisitely trained and impeccably attentive. One member of our party does not consume alcohol and the staff made seamless substitutions. That always speaks highly of a chef. The food is remarkable with a bit of dramatic flair. This culinary experience is engaging to all of your senses. My favorite dish was a smoked eel on a small brioche bun with a spicy mayo on the side served in a cloche filled with smoke. When they remove the glass, the scent of the smoke fills your nose and adds to the performance of the dish.

When you go, ask to see the kitchen. It is spotless, even in the middle of service. The kitchen staff is used to having people walk through as hotel guests access their rooms through the kitchen, so they are friendly and smiling.

Visiting ABaC is an event that should not be missed.

We visited ABaC during our stay in Barcelona. From the time we walked into the stylish and modern restaurant we were surrounded by perfection. We choose the ABaC menu and didn’t regret our choice. Gastronomic heaven in every bite. Outstanding service at all time, never meet anyone like their team and of cause, fantastic food. We were in Barcelona to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the visit to this restaurant certainly made it a moment to remember. Thanks to all the team at the restaurant making such a memorable time for us.

as an exprience food lover and proffesional chef, i rarely get annoyed when going to Michelin starred restaurants but this was over the egde, food was in best, luke warm lacking of intensity in taste, on the otherhand very special flavor combinations was taking over making some of the dishes very awful. Service was arrogant but professional.

Fantastic service and truly amazing food. Eating here is a superb experience for any foodie. The tasting menu we had was full of really tasty and brilliantly executed dishes. The 'tomato snow' was to die for. GO. You will not be disappointed!
