Description: In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.

“Outstanding cuisine and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

Highly innovative for both cooking and presentation. Imaginative use of ingredients and real thought put into the look and feel of both the food and the way each dish is served. Service was attentive although perhaps a little too formal. A good wine list at reasonable prices. Overall given the high standards here the value is good. Please try - I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed.

“Amazing meal - expensive but worth every penny!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013 via mobile

We ate at the ABAC restaurant while we were staying at the hotel. What an amazing meal - one of the best we have ever had. Every course was a delight - inventive and unusual but delicious and perfectly prepared . The service was flawless.

“Outstanding experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

The Grand ABaC menu has by far been the best culinary experience in my life. I was (by myself) seated despite the restaurant being full and the outstanding quality and professionalism of my servers was almost overwhelming.

“Elegance with a flourish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

We stayed in the hotel [reviewed separately] And had one meal here. The service is absolutely first class and the standard of cooking very high. We chose the taster menu and the chef was able to substitute dishes, at no notice, to suit our requests for one set of dishes to contain no red meat. All the food was well presented and served with great panache by the waiters who clearly enjoy their job. It looks like the fashion here is small grape sized " bubbles" of food flavours.
These were a bit hit and miss but the first starter, a waiter - prepared passion fruit ice cream with admixture of liquid nitrogen, was great fun, and tasted great too. My steak tartare with mustard and breadcrumbs was exactly like a good roast beef sandwich but the guineafowl was over salted
to verging on unpleasant. Nevertheless, the good vastly outweighed the indifferent and we enjoyed a memorable meal

“Masterpieces on the plate”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

Not everyday one have oportunity to eat in two star Michelin restaurant. I was a bit skeptical at first, but quite soon Abac earned my admiration. Simple, modern interior of restaurant stands in contrast to little art masterpieces served on plates. Real feast for the eyes and palate, accompanied by excellent Spanish wines. My best compliments to chef Jordi Cruz.
