Be ready to wait 30-60 minutes before being seated.
Better come with a local , so you know what to order - some dishes look fantastic, other are just the regular tapas one can find anywhere.
Bottom line - excellent place to eat good local food in a local atmosphere

We stumbled upon this gem; and oh what a find! We couldn't wait for 30 minutes for a table, so took the bar stools. That was the best thing! The bar tenders double up as waiters for tapas, and they are very social. Ours' was a superstar at his job. Epi recommended the best of what was on the menu and we couldn't have asked for more. The best solo millo (steak tapa), probably the best grilled prawns ever, perfectly done calamari and good wine. Full marks for this eatery. The definitive mother of all tapas restaurants and will certainly go again.

Being vegetarians, it is not easy to find appropriate tapas .... this place is swarming with all types of tapas, mostly seafood ones (my wife eats seafood) while I enjoyed lots of great vegetarian small (VERY generous) dishes. Do not miss if you are looking for real tapas, where most visitors are locals, most tapas are not on bread (which is terrible in most places, as it is in Italy...), where it may be hard to find a table in mid-day, the atmosphere is lovely.

This is a hustle and bustle place where you have to queue for around 20-30 min (longer during summer) unless you have a prior reservation which would be recommended. And one must bear with the rather sour-faced lady who takes adds your name to the list.

The tapas are fairly priced and very rarely bad - on the contrary - almost always very good - sometimes even wonderful. I have been here on countless occasions and it is a place I like to go to when I don't feel like exploring new places and want to go where the menu is always the same with good, dependable dishes and good enough service - attentive - fast - sometimes very friendly, sometimes very standard depending on who you get. The Filipinos are generally pleasant, the latin americans and arabs less so - but there are exceptions in both cases.

It is a place that is worth your while and buck!

We sought out this place for tapas because of recommendations here. We went late at night, 23:30. There wasn't a huge line but the bar was packed, so you couldn't have a drink while waiting to be seated. When we got to our table the first waited was so rude I was ready to leave. But we stayed and had a sampler of different tapas. Nothing we tried was amazing. Maybe we visited on an off night.
