There was no charge to see this amazing structure. There were stairs on the left side (if coming from town) to climb up higher, however there was no access to the very top. It was easy to find and there were multiple ways to make your way there. One does not need much time here. If pushed for time, you might want to save this for last since you can turn around at any point and it is probably most appreciated from a distance.

Getting to Segovia from Madrid was interesting! Trains to Segovia left from more than one station so be sure to purchase the correct ticket! The train station in Segovia was seemingly in the middle of nowhere! We just followed the crowd and everyone walked out and to a bus stand across the drive. Bus #s 11 & 12 took us to town. It was €2 cash. The bus dropped us off in the middle of town. There was a large white sign pointing the way to the aqueduct at the bus stop. We again followed the crowds!

Once we were ready to return to Madrid we were a little worried that we could make it to the train station in time if we waited for the bus. There was no Uber service in this town. There was a hotel close by and the registration desk called a taxi for us. The taxi arrived quickly and I was able to pay the €10.55 with my credit card.

This is our 2nd visit and every time we discover more beautiful landmarks. It’s a city with centuries of History.

We went by bus from Madrid to Segovia, just 1 hour and 4 Euros (8 RT) and we walked around the city for a couple of hours and had lunch in a Segovia restaurant. The Aqueduct is extraordinary

Segovia was one of my favorite side trips from Madrid.
When you first reached the city center the Aqueduct looked amazing as it went thru town. Just spectacular!!!
