As amazing as modern technology is and as far as we think we have come this site is a marvel, a marvel and a wonder of the world. Remember it has stood for thousands of years and there is not a drop of cement to be found. A perfect slope and a fresh water supply.

It towers over the city and is well worth the visit to Segovia. The entire city is well worth the visit - only 30 minutes from Madrid by high speed train. Spend the day and wander the old streets.

It is unbelievable to stand beneath this huge Roman creation and realize that it has truly withstood the test of time. You can see the indentations in the sides of the blocks where the tools lifted each stone into place. You can stand under the towering arches and look up to see the strength of the design. Notice that NO MORTAR was used. If you're lucky, you'll even see storks fly past from their nests on top of the cathedral. This is an enormous structure, and it can be appreciated even more if you take the time to read about its history before you visit.

Incredibly preserved structure, well worth a look and a few photos but no need to allow yourself half a day to see it

This is a 2,000-year-old Roman Aqueduct that cuts right through the centre of town in Segovia, Spain. It is standing majestically and a monument of time. I wish we had time to walk on it or check it out in the evening and chill in the area. Do not miss this as this is the most "complete" aqueduct still standing in the world.
