“Aqueduct”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013

An amazing sight, not to be missed. Once you have found the aqueduct, it is a good jumping off place to drive to see the many other spectacular sights in Segovia.

“Beautiful on a snowy night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013

Saw it in daylight, then returned for a late dinner that night. It was most impressive from top or bottom in the light snow and illumination.

“Spectacular Roman aqueduct running through the center of the city!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

While much of Spain has visible Roman history (Romanophiles MUST spend some time in Merida!), there is nothing quite as stunning as the Segovia Aqueduct... one of the best preserved in the whole of the former Roman Empire. It is 93 feet tall with multiple single and double arches, with a total of 167 arches still standing. So grand that it can be seen from a place passing over the city!

“Quite interesting and very very well preserved.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

i visited the Segovian Aqueduct while living in Madrid for 4 years.

I was quite impressed by its overall size and detail. It is very well preserved and a very special centre piece for Segovia. It is well worth the visit and journey to see some of the Roman empires infrastructure.

Trains leave Madrid's central train station Atocha regularly every day and drop you in the heart of Segovia.

Be prepared to walk a little as it spans quite a part of the well preserved city.

I would recommend the visit to any history buffs and i would return one day myself.

“Aqueduct by night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

The view of the aqueduct by night is spectacular and very romantic. Walk along the aqueduct by night and climb the stairs for a view of the city by moonlight.
