The Parador de Segovia is very much up to the Paradores' standards, with very well appointed and comfortable rooms. The view over the old Segovia quarter is breathtaking - although you may need to enjoy it from the pool side or the terrace (my room's balcony was very nice, but it's view was blocked by a tall tree!). As usual in Paradores, it is very much worth paying extra to get the superb breakfast buffet. In this one, however, I missed the Lavazza espresso machine!

This hotel is fine. The rooms are in a desperate need of re furbishing but the view of Segovia was fantastic. It reminded me of a hostel rather than a hotel.
Our room stunk of cigarettes, we were quickly moved.
The air conditioning didn't work and it took all day for someone to come and fix it
Breakfast was ok and the staff a little grumpy

I took my wife to Segovia for our anniversary for a few days. We loved this hotel. It is perched on a small hill that overlooks Segovia and all rooms have a view of the city, it is a fantastic view.

The staff were very friendly but didn't speak English which is fine because I wanted to practice my Spanish and they were very patient with me :-)

Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Noise wasn't a problem either and many of the rooms around us were occupied.

Breakfast was very nice and again the views from the dining room over the city were stunning. Breakfast was an assortment of cereals, breads, cakes, cheese, meats, cooked eggs, ham, ratatouille etc. There was a lot of choice and I tried most of it, delicious :-)

Finally, the hotel is approximately a 2 mile walk from the door of the hotel to the aquaduct in Segovia. This is easy to do as it is mostly downhill on the way there and there are plenty of bars to 'rest' in on the way back. We walked this route several times in two days but got a taxi back at night for 6.50 euros.

We loved our time here, the only reason it didn't get 5* is because the hotel is starting to look a little tired in places, we had a few cracks on the ceiling, the roof of the balcony was badly crumbling in one corner and the carpet in the corridor was badly stained (looks like a glass of red wine went to waste.

Having said that we had a great time and would not hesitate to go back again.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the city but I think the views from the ground floor might be restricted by...

This is a very good hotel with excellent staff but it is a bit too removed from the town for me to love it. It is modern and every room seems to be quite large with a view or the cathedral, Alcazar and aqueduct. There was a good-sized balcony but Our bathroom was much smaller than is usual for a parador and there were signs of wear throughout the room. The hotel design is quite modern with very generously sized public rooms. The outdoor pool has a great view of the city and is good to sit around and there is a well equipped games room. Despite all this there is a drive into town, and town is where you really want to be for a short visit. A conference or a weeks holiday with the kids would be different -- the hotel would be perfect! Segovia is very appealing and seems quite unspoiled, unlike it's rivals Toledo and Avila. It is well worth a visit but I would have preferred to be closer to the action.

We loved this strikingly designed Parador overlooking the stunning town of Segovia. We drove into town to sightsee one afternoon - the underground car park by the Aqueduct, as advised by the hotel, was 15 euros for four hours. Rooms and breakfast were excellent but the pool was not filled until after the 15th June despite soaring temperatures. The indoor pool was only open for a few hours at times unsuitable for those out sightseeing in the day time. Good breakfast and excellent service in the terrace cafe overlooking the town. A quiet and a restful setting to cheer the spirit.

Room Tip: All rooms have views in the main building

Stayed at the Parador in Segovia night of 30 June. A saturday night in a comfortable room overlooking the city. A beautiful outlook. Dinner was to die for - Segovian Suckling Pig - with wine at a reasonable price for a 4 star hotel.

Room very quiet so didn't wake till 09.30. Breakfast chaotic with 1o minute queue for tables, hence the very good rating. Had to wait a further fifteen minutes for coffee to arrive. Probably due to the number of wedding guests staying at the hotel.

Easy to find with its dominant position overlooking the city. Staff all extremely friendly and helpful.

A beautiful most relaxing hotel with stunning views of the incredible City of Segovia.Several open plan public areas on different levels which creates a very interesting comfortable space and most relaxing and peaceful setting. The dining / breakfast room also has wonderful views of the City and show the interesting changing light particularly in the evening Breakfast is very good and the staff are very attentive and friendly.Good sized rooms are comfortable and quiet but need upgrading.Indoor pool was closed which was dissappointing.
