Family lunch at this restaurant and sampled the cod fish with garlic sauce (weird taste), roasted pig (ok) and roasted baby lamb. Overall food were ok except the fish where the glamour and seasoning were a bit weird, but definitely extremely overpriced. Service wise - relatively poor and waiters had a bit of an attitude.

Next time I would suggest to forget all the hype and go to another restaurant.

Candido gave our 15-member group a great room to ourselves upstairs, with view of aqueduct and atmospheric interior. Service was fast and efficient, and the food was excellent. The best Cochinillo Asado I ever had. Candido deserves its fine reputation.

The restaurant is at an amazing place just under the Aqueduct. The construction is one of the best preserved monuments in Spain and simply wow. We choose a mix of typical Spanish starters and we really enjoyed it. The portions are large so be aware of that in choosing your main. The steak as a main dish was ok, but honestly I liked the starters more. The classical dress waiters are fast and very good. I would frame this restaurant as a bit touristic with ok food, but the view simply makes the difference.

Its an obligaroty visit in Segovia and try the "Cochinillo" too. Chef máster of Castilla, 200 years working and cutting the pork with the porcelain dishes. Its the most famous of this city and the location is perfect in front of the Roman aqueduct and the saloons and rooms so castillian decorated with hunting stuff, pictures and signatures of famous people that visited the place.
Of corse you can try cochinillos like that at other restaurants of this city, with the same quality but of corsé this one is the oldest.
