My wife and I, on a road trip around Spain, booked this hotel in advance. The first problem is that you can not park outside the hotel, it being in a pedestrianised area. There is, however, an underground car park close by, but it is then necessary to carry your baggage to the hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming, but we were then walked around the corner to a "sister" hotel and shown to a small upstairs room at the rear. The ceiling showed signs of recent damp problems and the view from the small window was of a derelict building with a collapsed roof. The old fashioned TV had only Spanish programmes. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, however, and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. Breakfast was served accross the street, which did not impress us as it was raining heavily. The sparse buffet breakfast was acceptable. We did not particularly enjoy our stay, but it was very cheap and I am sure that the main building probably has some far better rooms. We could not get the Internet to work.

Room tip: It is likely better in the main building.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We had a room at their second building. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was on the third floor and it was spacious. It was very clean with hardwood floors. It was very quiet. It is a short walk to the Cathedral, Basilica, museums, shops and restaurants/bars. Thought there was free internet, it did not reach our room and we had to go down to the lobby. I recommend this hotel if you like old charm and not into modern.

We were 9 people in four rooms. All of the rooms were perfect, the beds were comfortable and bathroom clean. It's located in the old town, very good if you want to go out and have a look at the night life in the city. They were really nice with us, fixing our issues with the parking place and with the reservation.
Higly reccommended !!

The Posada Regia inhabits a corner of the old town. The main building incorporates a hotel, restaurant and bar and really feels like part of old Leon, which is what it is, with modern essentials. Location is perfect, 5 minutes from the Cathedral and other main squares and streets, shops and restaurants. Rooms aren't large but big enough and comfortable. Amenities are good, we had no complaints, if you are looking for the stuff offered by a chain then go elsewhere, if you want some character then look here. The restaurant is excellent, breakfast is good, plentiful and varies, the staff friendly and helpful. There is also an annex just around the corner. Highly recommended.

Room tip: Wi-fi, in the annex at least, is only in the public area but will reach to rooms on the first floor.
