This hotel is quite close to centre though about 500 yards from Cathedral. Yes it is on a busy street but that is mostly at day time. At night the double windows & shutters keep the room calm. Ours was 327 on third floor and did overlook this road and the ancient hospital. The room was very good and quite spacious with a good bathroom too. The underground car park was at times very crowded & not easy to enter some of the spaces. The cost of 13 Euro per night is a bit expensive. The really disappointing thing is that dinner is not until 22.30 & though this is normal for the area does not go down well with UK visitors. The bar did not open until then too so there was no place to relax before dinner. The "menu de las dias" remained the same for the 6 nights we were there so did not encourage one to stay in the hotel. The quality was poor. I thought that the hotel catered mainly for coach visitors & did not expect one to stay more than 2 nights. However not many other restaurants opened before that time though we did find 2. The Ojeda near the Plaza Mayor was one and the other Rincon de Espana was very good. This last one was near the Cathedral. One other point restaurants, museums & churches closed after 14.00 to 17.00 so it was mostly visiting these places in the morning. The main bus staion was close to the hotel so one could reach Madrid if required. Overall the hotel was clean & friendly staff but not a 4 star rating. Brian

Room Tip: Room 327 was good.Overlooed main road but quiet.

We were moved here when our chosen hotel with the same chain was apparently having some problems, we arrived in mid-afternoon and I know it was a Sunday but the place seemed to be deserted, after six hours driving we were unable to get a snack or drink in the hotel until nine o’clock that evening and then with an early start the next morning we were first down for breakfast at 7-30 only to be reminded by the young lady on duty continually pointing to her watch that she was not ready to start serving. On the positive side the hotel is situated in the town centre only a ten minute walk from the cathedral area which was handy as we could get something to eat and drink there, if though you are driving the entrance to the below ground car park is an experience in itself and should not be missed.

Stayed here as a "luxury" break on the Camino de Santiago. It was a long, hot slog walking into Burgos and the hotel was a delight.
The room was cool and very clean, the bathroom fabulous!
The hotel is situated a short distance across the river from the city centre which is great as you don't want to walk too far having just hiked 20+ kilometres under a hot sun.
The staff were friendly and helpful (we needed a pharmacy).
The breakfast is rather expensive but it's a help yourself buffet so make the most of it!
Free internet service is available in the hotel lobby.
Would stay here again.

This was the first actual hotel we stayed at while hiking the Camino de Santiago - took a rest day and spent two nights. We hadn't really had any intention of looking at 4 star hotels, due to our innate cheapness and all, but after having little to no luck for over an hour (arrived on a holiday Saturday) a friend told us he was staying there so we checked it out. Paid 70e for a really nice double room with huge bathroom (no breakfast included for that).

The hotel was small and compact, staff very helpful and the rooms were modern and clean. We had a double bed and all the mod cons. No view though. The hotel bar is a bit pants on the 1st floor. And pricy, i would go elsewhere for that. I would stay there again. Good value as we paid €40 per room.
Hotel has secure underground parking, ideal for our motorbikes.
The City of Burgos is definately one to visit again, with castle, lots of bars and restaurant, shops and other museums. Looks great lit of at night.

We had a one night stay here on a coach tour. The hotel is well positioned to visit the town, being only a 10 minute easy walk away.
The room we had overlooked the back area and the washing. It was adeqate for our needs, but on the tired side. It was narrow and smallish with a samll bathroom but large bath towels. There was no coffee making facilities.
The cases arrived reasonably quickly considering the smll size of the lift available. Most of the time we walked up the two flights of stairs.
The set meal we had was just about adequate but the breakfast had a reasonable choice of foods, with a continental slant.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the town centre, we arrived and were able to park our car in the underground car park, but overall it reminded of me of the nursery rhyme, "When it was good it was good, but when it was bad it was shocking!"
The good bits:-
- Easy walking distance for the town centre and cathedral
- The ability to park off-street
- Comfortable, if slightly 'Euro-bland', bedrooms
- Good reception staff
The bad bits:-
- The restaurant food, dinner and breakfast, was diabolical and was worse than '60's motorway cafe standard
- Many of the restaurant staff were surly
- The bars were closed for too long and getting a drink was difficult
- The car parking was pricey
In this day and age you cannot pass yourself off as a four star hotel and adopt restaurant standards that are as low as these, they should at least be able to present the traveller with a choice that meets the quality of at least some of the local restaurants/cafes.
Stay here if you want but don't go to the restaurant, dine out even for breakfast.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the hotel are above a busy street which houses the local bus station and these...
