hotel was old fashioned but full of character, bedroom was nice, no problems EXCEPT the food was inadequate, not very tasty and poorly served we think it was brought in like school meals used to be (school meals probably were better). The location of the hotel was excellent for visiting the city. This hotel could be very good if only the food issue was addressed.
Stayed here as part of an organised tour. Room dark and looking into central courtyard from which emanated smell of drains. Mirrored wall but everything grimey and tatty and room safe inoperable. Bathroom adequate but no tap to bath. Included breakfast hardly adequate and pre booked evening meals appalling owing to the fact that they had no kitchen staff so were importing the food from elsewhere.
However it is conveniently in the immediate vicinity of the old town and river.
I think it is a very comfortable hotel, centrally located and with an incredible breakfast!!! nice omelette and rice pudding. Also it has a big garage to park. I went for a business trip to Burgos and I found the hotel a good place to rest and it is easy to do a bit of sightseeing.
Booked a double room and expected to be treated well as member of the loyalty programme, room was to small, dark and a bit depressive so we upgraded to a Junior Suite - obviously paying for it too... Room a bit bigger but nothing special...
Staff throughout arrogant & unhelpful from beginning to end!

We have been here before as it takes dogs and has underground parking.Otherwise uninspiring.This visit we booked and payed 3 months prior to visit through Travel Republic.When we arrived we were told hotel was"full" They offered us a sister hotel in the same group (Melia) but when we arrived it did not take dogs.Hours later and very tired we found a good Hostal.Do not go to this Hotel
I remember this hotel to be one of the nicest in town but not anymore. However if you get an offer it is very good value. It has perfect location for moving around, well located. Around the corner from the bus station, across the river from the cathedral, plaza mayor...
Staff are very nice and very helpful.
Rooms are ok. Our bedroom was very big with very poor light. You can sleep well if the hotel is not very busy and you are located at the back of the hotel.
Bathroom...we were in a bedroom with an old bathroom; it did not look very clean which is terrible.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel as you can walk in the street and get nice coffee with toast...(Cafe Latino) and having tapas and pinchos in the bars around the plaza mayor c/.herreros (Pancho, Herreros...).
We use the hotel car park as it is very difficult to find a place around the hotel (This area is called "zona azul" and you have to pay for parking during the day so it is better using the hotel car park €12 per day). Free wifi.
